As Marshall and Everest continued to run towards the lookout after hearing Ryder's call, the two pups felt themselves getting exhausted. They hadn't slept at all today so far, and this was a really far run for the two of them, considering it was Mr. Porter's cafe all the way to the lookout in a sprint that they wanted to keep going with, that way they can get to the lookout and hear the news about Marshall's family visiting as soon as possible.

Outside of the exhaustion the two pups were facing, Marshall also had this looming feeling of dread over him right now, following behind him as he sprinted alongside the love of his life, waiting to consume him whole. It had nothing to do specifically with his family visiting, at least not directly, but with how often his subconscious mind has been telling the Dally's conscious mind that his family must think he's a disappointment for not following his father's footsteps and becoming a police pup, but what if there was more to it than just that?

In any case, as the two pups reached the bridge that led to the lookout, Marshall and Everest found themselves slowing down due to the exhaustion of this long run, giving them a moment to just walk beside each other on the bridge, nuzzling into each other as the starry night began to appear over Adventure Bay.

The two pups wanted to stop on the bridge for a moment not only to admire the pretty sight of the stars shining over Adventure Bay with a perfect full moon high in the sky, but they had to get to the lookout. Once again as the two pups kept moving, Everest found herself looking towards the moon to tell the time once more, using the experience she gained of being in the South Pole for nearly her entire life to do this in the life she now lived in Adventure Bay with Jake, Ryder and the Paw Patrol.

"Marshall, it's around 9:30. Let's get to the lookout and hear the news Ryder has, last pup there is a moldy dog treat!" Everest playfully said, challenging Marshall to a race as the two of them began to run once more as Marshall replied to what Everest had said.

"Hey Ev I was curious, how did you learn to tell the time based on the position of the moon? I remember you mentioning that you learned it while in the South Pole, but I was curious," Marshall said as he found himself being ready to run the rest of the way back to the lookout, thanks to the short walk the two pups had on the bridge.

"Well Marshy, it's a long story. But a simplified version would be that if I didn't learn how to tell the time based off of the moon's position by mom and dad, I wouldn't be alive today," Everest said, tears rolling down her face as she remembered what had happened.

"I see Ev, well if you don't want to talk about it for now, that's okay. Take things at your own pace," Marshall said as the two pups finally reached the main automatic doors of the lookout.

As the automatic doors opened up in front of the two pups, Everest spoke to Marshall as they went into the living room. "Thank you Marshy, that goes for you as well. I don't know what happened in your past between you and your family, but no matter what, I'm always going to love you," Everest assured as the lights in the living room turned on to reveal Ryder and the other pups all relaxing in the room.

"Marshall, Everest, glad you two got here. I won't beat around the bush, the reason I called everyone to the living room is because I have news about Marshall's family visiting that I need to share," Ryder said as the pups looked around nervously as he continued.

"Marshall, your family is landing in Adventure City tomorrow after their flight from their home town. And after we bring them up to Adventure Bay in the Paw Patroller, they will be staying in the lookout with us," Ryder said, not talking after that to allow the pups to process this news, Marshall especially.
