The Paw Patrol continued to play as a group in front of the lookout as Marshall's family looked on as if they were outsiders. Despite the fact that they were Marshall's biological family, they didn't feel like his family as they looked towards Marshall playing with all of his friends in the Paw Patrol. They felt more like spectators in the dalmatian's life at this point.

"M-Mom, should we go play with them?" Kai asked as he looked at how much fun his big brother was having.

Smoke put a small smile on her face as she nodded towards Blaze and Ryder before turning back to her pups. "Go right ahead you two, just take things slow okay?" She urged her two pups as they both barked happily and ran into the games the Paw Patrol were playing, like tug of war.

As Cookie and Kai joined the play session, Ryder walked over to Blaze and Smoke as the two dalmatian parents looked towards the pups who were playing, and back to Ryder.

"Ryder? May the two of us have a word with you?" Blaze asked of the young leader of the Paw Patrol as Ryder nodded.

"Of course, let's head into the lookout." Ryder said as Smoke and Blaze followed him into the lookout.

As the group of three walked into the lookout, Smoke and Blaze looked around the building as Ryder gestured towards a living room and got onto one of the couches.

"So what did the two of you want to talk about?" Ryder asked as he sat up straight and looked towards Smoke and Blaze who were laying on the couch in front of Ryder.

"We wanted to ask you about how Marshall has been doing as a member of the Paw Patrol, with an in person conversation." Smoke said as the two adult Dalmatian's looked towards Ryder.

"Well, Marshall is our resident firefighter and EMT. Just like the other pups, whenever he's called into active duty he gives the mission absolutely everything he can. Outside of missions, every pup is good friends with each other and Marshall is no exception to this." Ryder explained as Smoke and Blaze spoke to each other briefly.

"Yeah, maybe I was wrong about following in my footsteps was the only career path that would lead to success for Marshall, huh Smoke? If only I didn't realize it for many years after he cut ties with us, here and now." Blaze said quietly as Smoke looked over to Ryder.

"What's done is done, Blaze. It's okay." Smoke said as she cuddled into her mate as Ryder cleared his throat.

"Okay you two, here's my plan. Me and the pups are going to give your family of four a tour of the lookout, and then tomorrow we'll be going on our weekly training exercise. It's operated by us, and it's an excellent facility." Ryder explained as the two parents nodded, now that there was a plan in place, they saw no reason to continue this specific conversation.

"Understood, thank you for your time Ryder of the Paw Patrol." Smoke and Blaze said as the two dogs walked out of the living room.

Well, I'm gonna have to call the pups and tell them about the plan. My plan is to take us to the training facility around nine in the morning tomorrow. Ryder thought to himself as he went up the elevator to the top of the lookout.

Meanwhile, the pups were still playing outside as Marshall's parents came outside of the lookout, Cookie and Kai instinctively coming back over to their parents as the two older dogs came outside.

"H-Hi mom and dad, how was the talk with Ryder?" Kai asked as the pups stopped playing to look over at the group of four dalmatian's near the front doors of the lookout.

"Not too bad, there's a plan in place for what's to come, Kai." Smoke answered as the pups all walked over.

The pups walked over as gray clouds formed over the lookout, signalling the coming of rain. No way to tell how bad it is, might as well go inside. Chase thought to himself as the Paw Patrol walked up next to Marshall's family and rain began to pour down, the rain splashing against the asphalt and concrete of the lookout's parking area as the rain began to pool on the ground, making small puddles as small splashing sounds filled the ears of each and every pup amidst their light breathing.
