Part 47 Pleasant Surprise
The next morning
Arnav came out of the washroom, finishing his bath, wrapping a towel. Khushi was still sleeping. Arnav hasn't woken her up yet. He came to the bed and whispered in her ear.
"Khushi wake up"
Nope... there was no movement in Khushi. Arnav kissed her ear and again called,
"Khushi..."
"Mmm...?" she moved a little.
"We will miss our flight if you don't wake up," he said, tapping her cheek.
"Miss our flight?" Khushi opened her eyes sleepily.
"Yeah... Get ready... We are going to Delhi today" he said casually.
"Whaaaat?" Khushi's sleep fled away.
"Yup... Come on..."
He picked her up from the bed and walked to the washroom. Khushi was looking at him like she is dreaming. Arnav put her down in the washrooms.
"Make it fast" he was about to go,
Khushi clutched the towel that he was wrapping. Arnav looked at her clutch and then her face.
"Are we going to Delhi truly?" She questioned him unbelievably.
"Yup... "
"Are you sure?"
Arnav nodded yes.
"But why suddenly?"
"Just felt to visit my and your parents. So, planned..."
"Planned? When did you plan?"
"Yesterday"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I told you"
"But..."
Stopping her,
"We will talk on the way to Delhi... Now, stop talking and get ready"
"What about our office? We have to finish the project"
"Aman will take care of it"
"Don't we need to submit the leave application?"
"I did... Aman sanctioned our leave too"
"But, how did he do it without my signature?"
"I got it from you"
"When did it happen? Why didn't Aman talk to me about it?"
"I have spoken to Aman. He is the one who is going to drop us at the airport. Go and take bath. He will be here any time."
He closed the washroom door. Khushi opened it again.
"Arnavji... We have not even packed our stuff yet"
Taking two medium-size bags from under the bed, he showed them to her. Khushi wondered why two bags?
"Arnavji... How many days we are going to stay in Delhi?"
"A week"
"Then why two bags? We can arrange it in a single bag"
"If we carry one single bag, the weight of the bag will increase. We won't be allowed to take it into our hands. We will have to wait at the airport to collect it... Waste of time. If we carry two medium size bags, we can carry them with us as hand luggage. We don't have to wait to collect it"
"Oh..."
Arnav nodded yes.
It seems he planned everything perfectly...! she thought.
