Part 3 This is what I'm

The next day early morning

Arnav and Khushi were ready to fly to Mumbai. Khushi took blessings from her in-laws and also from her parents who came to the airport to send her off.

Arnav and Khushi boarded the flight. Khushi kept her distance from Arnav even though she was sitting next to him, not wanting to make him annoyed. She leaned on the seat and closed her eyes. Though she didn't get sleep Arnav dozed off.

They reached Mumbai after two hours. They came out of the airport and got a cab. The cab entered into the CLOUD NINE apartment premises which looked decent.

Arnav came to his flat with Khushi and opened the door. The flat looked neat and so tidy. Khushi liked it very much.

*That's your room* Arnav pointed at a room which was on the left side, next to the kitchen. He went to the room that was directly opposite the main door. He closed his room door.

Khushi recalled what Arnav said. YOUR ROOM? What does that mean? Were they going to stay separately? How could she even try to get his attention if they stay in different rooms? Is this what is written in her fate? What a life is this? She couldn't take it easy. They were husband and wife and Arnav wanted her to be in the other room. She went to Arnav's room and knocked on the door. Arnav opened the door and looked at her plainly. Her teary eyes pricked him.

*What do you mean, YOUR ROOM? *

*You are going to stay in that room...* Arnav said without expression.

*But why? I'm your wife...*

*I was forced to marry you*

*But, you married me*

Arnav was silent.

*If you don't want to marry me, why did you marry me? You could have thrown the mangal sutra away instead of trying it on my neck*

Arnav was still silent. What is the use of talking about something which was already over? Khushi was furious, seeing him silent. Something kicked her mind. Is he really a lonely lover or something else was there? She became horrified.

"Are you in love with someone?" she asked the question which was itching her throat.

He looked at her frowning. He made himself up. It's obvious if she thinks like that.

"I'm in love with my loneliness... I like to be alone since my childhood. There is no space for anyone in my life because I don't like to be interacting with people. I like to be alone. I'm like this... You can't gain anything from me. I don't like to be in any relationship. Understand that..."

She stood like a statue. She really couldn't understand him.

*What about me? What do you want me to do now? What I'm going to do in this house? *

*It's your life... you can make any decision about your life... you can choose what you want. I married you... because of me, you are here. So, it's my responsibility to feed you. I will do that... but, I can't let you enter into my personal space... likewise, I won't enter into your space too. (he paused for a while) I don't have any problem if you want a divorce. I'm ready to give you divorce* he said simply.

*That's all...? That's all you want to say? We have not completed one week of married life yet... you are talking about divorce? Shame on you...* she shouted.

Arnav gritted his teeth.

*I said what I want to... this is what I'm... don't waste your time on me... you can't change me. You have life. Get settled with someone who suits you* he said without hesitation and closed the door again.
