TW: mentions of past trauma, flashbacks, implied abuse

These heroes are shit. He just wants to go home to Ranboo and Tubbo.

"Come on, mate. You have to eat something."

Tommy shakes his head, "No."

Tommy knows what they're trying to do.

Everything is always a debt, no matter how small.

Phil sighs, "Pancakes aren't going to kill you."

Tommy wraps his tail around himself, sinking further into the couch, "I don't know that. I've been poisoned before." He says.

It's true, he has been.

Phil frowns, "We're heroes, mate. We're here to protect you."

Tommy laughs, "I was poisoned by a hero, dipshit."

Phil pauses, "Y'know what, I'm just gonna leave this here. You can eat it if you want, I promise it's not poisoned."

Tommy nods.

Like he's gonna trust them. They're heroes.

Phil smiles at him, looking unsure, and walks away.

Tommy picks up the plate and sniffs it.

It doesn't smell like it's been poisoned, but you can never be too careful, especially around heroes. Tommy's eaten some scentless poison.

He pushes the plate away and looks around the room.

He can hear the three heroes talking, but not what they're saying. His ears twitch, trying to hear them better.

It's no use.

He sighs.

The heroes said he was able to go anywhere he wanted, but he isn't going to risk messing anything up.

He knows they were just waiting for him to fuck up so they would feel less bad about whatever the fuck it is they were going to do with him. That's how these types of people are. He knows it.

He just wants to go home.

But no, he's back where he said he'd never go again, back with the heroes. He hates this. They're probably being paid by like, Dream to keep him so he can take him back.

Phil walks back in, "Hi, mate. Are- are you crying?"

Shit.

He didn't even realize he was crying. He wipes furiously at his eyes

"No." He chokes out.

"It's alright. We won't hurt you." Phil comes closer.

"Stop lying. Just tell me what you want with me!"

Phil smiles, "We just want to help you." He says.

"Then let me go! Just let me go home!" Phil sighs, "We can't do that."

Tommy sobs, "I just want to go home." He says.

Phil wraps his arms around Tommy, "It'll be alright." He lies so confidently, Tommy almost believes him.

He buries his face in Phil's chest and sobs. Phil shushes him and wraps his wings around him.

"It'll be okay. We won't hurt you."

He sounds so sure. It would be so easy to believe him.

But he's a hero.

If Tommy doesn't let Phil go for another ten minutes, then that's his business.
