The Broken Promise

3rd POV:

Izuku woke up this early this morning so he could go see his best friend Kacchan at the park. "Mommy! Wake up! It's time to go to the park!"

"Yes, yes I know Izuku, go get dressed so we can go and see him early today....and love don't be sad if he doesn't....accept you as you currently are okay?" Inko said with a bit of worry in her tone because she had known how the quirkless population had been treated.

"Yes mommy, I understand." Izuku had said with a little bit of sadness knowing that he might be treated different because of how he is being called so on so "quirkless". "It'll be fine I think, Kacchan will treat me differently I hope!"

"Alrighty if you say so sweetie." Inko had walked out of the door and got into the car with Izuku and drove to the park so she could talk with Mitsuki and Izuku could have fun with his friend Katsuki.

Izuku had been dropped off into the park and Inko had walked off to her best friend. Izuku had ran over to Bakugo and they started chatting together.

"Hey Kacchan!" Izuku yelled toward his best friend. "Hey Izu!! When did you get here!?". Bakugo smiled and waved toward the greenette, seeing how he was running at full speed to him, he would assume he just got here about 5 minutes ago but he wouldn't let him know that so they have a topic to start off with. "Oh, I got here about 3 minutes ago ish..... I think....well that doesn't matter! Let's go play!". Izuku said excitedly because he wanted to play with his friend.

"Alright bet Izu! Hey guys come on! Let's go play in the new spot we found and bring Izu!". "OKAY KACCHAN!!" Yelled the 3 extras that everyone should know by now.

"But first let's talk about Izus quirk!!". Bakugo yells out and they all cheer. "YEAH!!! SO WHATS YOUR QUIRK!?!?"

"Ah well...umm....I'm.......quirkless? Kinda?

"Pffft what do you mean kinda!??"

"Well the doctor said that-" he was cut off by Bakugo pushing him and saying "So your basically useless!? Ha that's why I read your name out the other day as Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, it means useless!! Matter fact that's you're nickname from now on! Deku!!!"

"But that's so mean!!!"

"Whatever let's just go play by the river guys!"

"H-hey wait for me!!" As deku runs after them, we see someone in the background watching over the kids, whoever this mystery figure is, we should hope that they are kind.

"Foward march and here we go!!! Members of the agency Bakugo!! Soun- AHH". As Bakugo fell into the river the start screaming out. "Kacchan!!!" Yelled the one with the cap on. "Hey!! You okay down there!?" Yelled the spiky haired one. "Oh don't worry, Kaccahn is super tough! Look see!!"

As Bakugo gets up out of the water and smiles at them to reassure them that he is fine, Izuku runs down and sticks his hand out trying to support Bakugo and asking two questions that would change their futures forever. "Are you alright? Are you hurt? I was worried you might've hit you're head or something." Bakugo from his happy go lucky face slowly dropped it into a scowl and had said. "I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP DEKU!!!" And pushed the boy into the water. Climbing back up the slope Bakugo had said. "Don't ever try to help me again you weakling, your nothing without a quirk! C'mon guys!" And they walked away together leaving Izuku in the water trying to figure out what he did wrong.

They boy eventually get up and goes back to walk where his mother is and since it took him quite awhile and it was sunny out, the clothes had dried on the way back. "Did you have fun sweetie?" His mom asked looking quite concerned why the boy is down. "Yeah mom I did, I'm just tired." Said the boy obviously lying to his mother but he had assumed that he will eventually tell her what's on his mind and why he's so down but she'll keep quiet for now. "Okay sweetie, let's go home then okay? We'll wash you up and can have a nice dinner and you can go to bed after okay?" Said Inko hoping to cheer the boy up. "Alright mom." They walk back to the car to go home.

We skip to when Izuku is in bed ready to go to sleep and his mother his reading him a story. "-and they lived happily ever after. The end. Did you like the story?" Inko asked the tired little boy. "Yeah mom I did, but mom I have a question for you..... do you think I'm useless cause I don't have a quirk?" Izuku asks. Inko gasps and says "Of course not sweetie, you are gonna have to work harder than others to try to be a hero, but I don't think your useless at all." Inko reassures him and ends up making him feel better. "Thanks mom, I'm gonna go to bed now. Night mom."

"Goodnight sweetheart." As she kisses him on his forehead goodnight and turns off his light, leaving his All Might themed nightlight on with its bright smile.

"I can definitely be a hero and I'm gonna be the best one there is...*Yawn* for my mom and for All Might who I'm definitely gonna surpass one day, quirk or no quirk, I just gotta work *yawn* hard like mom said I do." Whispering to himself as he falls into a deep, dreamless sleep, hoping for better days and hoping for a better future.

(A/N: Hey you guys I knew I took quite a long time to write this but hey summers coming up and I already have things planned out for the book just not having the chapters wrote out lol, but just be patient cause I think I can do good on this book if not rushed.
