Chapter 23: Tough times

Mr. Kang took Soyong with him. Mrs. Kang went to stay with her brother while Soji was sent to stay in a hostel. Jihoon and Soonae came home and what they saw made them widen their eyes in absolute horror.

Soonae: Why is the door open!! Where is the security!
Jihoon: Come let's check! *They went around and we're in for a shock* What the hell??
Soonae: Oh no! *The faces of the security guards were green* baby call the ambulance!! *She rushed inside the house and came with something* This should work!! *She was holding a cup with something in that and sprinkled that on the faces of the security guards.
Jihoon: Baby what are you doing? *He came to see what she was doing*
Soonae: Baby I think they are poisoned. I just gave them something that would delay the action of the poison. Did you call the ambulance?
Jihoon: Yes and police too!
Soonae: Let me call Eomma and Appa too!! *Jihoon nodded*

After some time, the ambulance came and the police came too.
Police: You know what Mr. Min? It's probably just your bad time going on. Anyways do you have any idea who can do something like that?
Jihoon: I am not sure officer. Our business rivals won't do this to security. I am clueless who can do this to security!
Soonae: The person who did that is a heartless psychopath! So I think it can be the same person who is stalking me around.
Police: Mrs. Min any specific reason for thinking like that?
Soonae: *Sigh* no officer no specific reason. I just can't find anyone else who has reason to hurt our security like that!
Police: Hmm we'll just look around your house to see if we can find any clue okay. *Mr. and Mrs. Kim came in there that time*
Mrs. Kim: Yes officer you go ahead with your work while we are here. Because I think right now Jihoon and Soonae should go to the hospital. There are the families of the security guards and the media and that is a whole mess.
Jihoon: What! Baby let's go! *Looked at the officers* Can we leave? *They nodded*

In the hospital, there was complete chaos. There was media and the families of the security guards. They all were asking questions. Jihoon and Soonae pulled in with some more security and were attacked by the media.
Media: Mr. Min you have to answer our questions!
Jihoon: *Sigh* Yes ask what you wanna ask.
Media: How did your security staff fall sick like that?
Jihoon: We have no clue whatsoever we were not home that time. We came back and saw this mess.
Soonae: Well the person who is responsible for all this is not going to be spared no matter who that is. We treat our staff like our family and don't their them lightly. *Their families were kinda relieved*
Jihoon: Now if you excuse us we'd like to go visit our staff and meet their family. Excuse us. *The media was stopped by their security and Jihoon went to the security and whispered* Listen there are female reporters too. Make sure there is no chaos and no one gets hurt especially not the female reporters. *They bowed and nodded and Jihoon grabbed Soonae by arms and went in*

Jihoon thought he just whispered to the security but he didn't know that there was the mic of a media channel and practically the whole world heard him. There were so much anger and negative reaction from the public on the internet. People believed it was their fault. But as soon as what Jihoon said was heard on live television, it melted the angry people. Jihoon and Soonae met the family of the staff.
Jihoon: Please don't worry. No matter what we are here for you.
Soonae: I am hoping that your men are safe in there because I- *She was cut off by the doctor*
Doctor: Ahh Mr. Min you are here. I was scared that the media would burn our hospital today *He chuckled*
Jihoon: Doctor how are my staff members doing now? I hope there are no complications? *Media focused their mics to the doctor*
Doctor: No they are out of danger now. The poison was pretty strong. But the temporary antidote that Mrs. Min gave them saved their lives because the effect of the poison was delayed. It made my work easy.
Soonae: I knew that would work hehe
Jihoon: I am so proud of you baby. You saved the lives. *He hugged her and seeing them hugging each other made others smile*

**Meanwhile**
Someone was watching all that on the television and burning with anger. He yelled and threw everything on his table on the ground.
???: MIN JIHOON GET READY FOR THE FOOTBALL MATCH! I MAKE SURE YOU DIE IN THE SPOT *Evil laughed and went and took Soonae's photo* You know me, well-baby. You're right I am a psychopath Jeong Haru is a psychopath for you *Laugh* I would make you mine forever! *He creepily caressed the picture and kept saying* do you remember how people used to ship us in school? That friend of yours told everyone to stop rumors! WHY DOES SHE MEAN BY RUMOUR! YOU ARE MINE THAT'S NOT A RUMOUR!

**Flashback**
Rose was walking inside the school to find Soonae when she heard two girls talking.
Girl-1: I heard Soonae is dating that clerk bro.
Girl-2: What do you mean *She chuckled in shock* Why would she do that! Jeong Haru seriously!! She is dating an ajussi!?
Rose: *Went up to them* Hey girls. Can you tell me who told you this about Soonae?
Girl-1: Oh Rose! We heard a few guys talking about it.
Rose: Um I think you had some kind of misunderstanding. Soonae is not dating anyone.
Girl-2: Is it so?
Rose: Yes yes. Like if she dated anyone she would only tell everyone right.
Girl-1: I think you are right.
Rose: Umm can you two do me a favor?
Girl-1: Yes sure what is it?
Rose: Please kill the rumor. Would you?
Girl-2: Ah how can we do that!
Rose: You are so smart I am sure you can do that!
Girl-1: *Proud smile* Yes I am smart and I would do that for you!
Rose: Thank you hehe. Ohkay I'll take your leave now. See you *She left*

Meanwhile, Haru was listening to all the conversation from behind the lockers.
Haru: I won't let this rumor die till Soonae falls for me *Chuckle*

**Present time**
Haru: No matter how hard your friend tried, I made sure this rumor doesn't die. I kept spreading that rumor! Age is just a number baby. And our love would be enough to survive in this small house for the rest of our life. I'll make you mine remember!

**Time skip**
It was nighttime. Jihoon and Soonae were lying in the bed cuddling.
Soonae: Baby promise me no matter what happened don't let me go.
Jihoon: I promised this to myself and you during our marriage. But I promise you once again that I'll never let you go no matter what.
Soonae: Can you believe it is going to be our 1 year soon?
Jihoon: No jagi it feels like yesterday when I saw you the first time and got lost in your eyes in the cafeteria. *Soonae bit his chest playfully and blushed*
Soonae: You know what honey? I was kinda scared to get married while still being in college. But it turned out to be the best decision I could ever make *She snuggled her head in his chest*
Jihoon: Let's sleep, baby. Tomorrow we have class and I have practice too. *Soonae hugged him and slept*

**Meanwhile**
Jaeun could not sleep. If he closed his eyes, he could see Soomi's face. He sat in his bed in frustration.
Jaeun: Aish wtf! I can't sleep!! Kim Soomi what are you doing to me! Aish I can't wait for our hotel's launch party! I hope I get to spend some time with you. *He lay down and smiled while looking at the ceiling*

On the other hand, Soomi could not sleep either. She was lying down and looking outside to see a pair of owls on a tree.
Soomi: How would it feel to have someone who is my first and only everything? *She slapped herself* Yah Kim Soomi!! You can't give yourself that easily! Let your man struggle a little *smirk* let's see Lim Jaeun you can only give me wet dreams or you can love me in real too.
Jaeun (In his house): What if I want to touch you right now love? *He raised his hand and tried to touch the air which was blowing*
Soomi (In her house): what if I want you now love? *Cold breeze blew and she felt weird since it sent shivers down her spine* aish stop messing with me. *She giggled and pulled her blanket and went to sleep*
Jaeun (In his house): Aish bro go to sleep. If you get late Jihoonie Hyung would kill you *He scolded himself and slept*

**Meanwhile**
It was late and Mark was working on his game. Mark was developing a battle royale game. He looked at the sky and spoke.
Mark: Appa Eomma I hope I can make you proud and make your daughter-in-law happy in life. *Sighed and continued working* and umm I think I'll go with this *He wrote some codes and saw the time* Shit! Sleep Mark sleep! If you get late tomorrow both Rosie and Jihoonie would kill you!! *He closed his laptop and went to sleep*

These 8 people were bought together by fate and now they had to put effort to make their life good and stick together. With a stalker Ajjussi plotting, what would their fates be?
