Chapter 34: A shocking Truth unfolds

The "squad" came together in Jake's house and he was all excited and pale. He was wondering how to tell them what he found out.

Jihoon: Yah dramatic ass now tell us what you found out!
Rose: Before that *She looked at Mark* why did you not pick up the call yesterday?
Mark: Yesterday when I went home my aunt- *He told them everything and Rose clenched her jaw in anger* now we are coming from there only.
Rose: OMG this old witch! I am telling you her death is written in my hands!
Soonae: Not only that bro. We were having dinner and that old witch called and the way she talked to sunbae! My blood boiled you know!
Rose: Ugh why do I know this so late *She closed her eyes in frustration*
Mark: I am sorry baby! Yesterday I just had too much on my mind. So I could not tell you.
Rose: *Sigh* I am glad that you walked out and you are okay.
Jake: Now y'all get ready for the biggest shock of your life okay.
Jihoon: What is it about tho that you are freaking out this way?
Jake: Bro it's about that accident that took place on the airport road 13 years ago. The same one in which Mark's parents- *He looked at Mark*
Soyong: Wh-what about it *She felt something weird on her stomach*

Jake was looking down and thinking about how to tell this. Mark went to him.
Mark: Bro please calm down and tell me what happened. Ok, tell from the start right?
Jake: Okay listen then. Yesterday after coming back from Jihoon's place I was on the internet trying to find some stuff related to my project when suddenly an old news article caught my eyes.
Soomi: Oppa when was that article published?
Jake: It was published sometime in May of 2008.
Mark: I was 12 *He blinked a few times since he felt something weird on his stomach too*

At that point, all of them felt this weird feeling in their stomach Jake was feeling a lump building up in his throat and he was almost whispering because of nervousness.
Jake: SO since I didn't have much idea about the accident, I just remember hearing about it from my parents and recalled something umm.
Jihoon: HANG ON A SEC! *He understood what Jake wanted to say* Oh My God!! *He widened his eyes*
Rose: I think Evey one here heard about it but we were too young to understand anything.
Soyong: As far as I recall I was 9+ and my appa was talking to my Eomma saying it was a deadly accident!
Soonae: Well as far as I remember there were three cars right? And one big truck was there.
Jake: Yes there were three cars and one big truck. The brake of the truck failed and it flipped. The first car was at high speed so the driver could not control the car and it went straight into the truck. As it happened suddenly the second car's driver lost balance and collided with the first car. And their car belonged to Mark's Appa.
Jihoon: A-and that time's reports say that after the cars were rescued, they found out that one wire of the brake of Mr. Lee's car was broken.
Jaeun: So it means the brake failed?
Soomi: Oh My God! It means someone-
Mark: *Looking down and shivering* Someone wanted to kill my parents *Rose hugged him while he wrapped his hands around Rose*
Soonae: That's weird! If the uncle's car was the third car it means that the impact of the accident won't be enough to kill them. I- I don't understand!
Jake: Soonae-ssi you study your subject well don't you *He said with a slight smile*
Soonae: Wh-what?
Jihoon: Babe he means the impact of the accident was not enough for them to die on spot.
Jake: Yes and the report says that the accident was huge and 14 people were involved in it but no deaths were reported *He looked down*

As he said it Mark's eyes shot open! He could not believe it. He was shivering and his eyes were red. Rose hugged him tightly and tears were flowing from her eyes.
Soomi: *Incomplete shock* It means Mark oppa's mom and dad m-might be alive
Jihoon: Yes that's exactly what it means! Aish dumb me why did I never guess that they might be alive!
Mark: *Sighed* It's not your fault bro. I never thought that my parents might be alive. I just believed what they told me.
Rose: In that case, I guess we need to find out what happened to them!
Soonae: I guess my uncle can help. My dad's cousin. He is in charge of Hospitals in the XXX area and he also knows the in charge of other areas.
Soomi: Wait let me call him! Unnie doesn't have his new number.
Soonae: Nae.
Soomi: *Dialed number* Pick up! *Uncle picked up the call* Hello uncle... Yes yes... Yes, unnie and Oppa are good... Uncle, I need help... Yes, you know about that accident from 2008 right? That bad one... Yes, so Mr. And Mrs. Lee of L. IT company... I want to find information about them... Oh, that's because their son Mark Oppa wants to know the details... Ah okay... Thank you so much, uncle. *She cut the call and looked at them smiling* Uncle said to give him some time. He'll tell by evening. I think it's college time now we should get going.

They came to Jake's home with the thought of leaving directly to college from Jake's home. Even Soomi was ready for school when she came to Soonae's house. They left for college after doing breakfast. Mrs. Kang prepared a lot of stuff. Soonae, Rose, and Soomi smiled seeing Mrs. Kang pampering Soyong.
Them: Thank you for the breakfast aunty it was really good.
Mrs. Kang: Take care of kids and be careful. And Mark I hope you'll find some good news soon okay. *She patted his head*
Mark: Thank you, aunty.
Jake: *Hugged her* Eomma we'll go now. *They left*

**Meanwhile**
Mark's uncle came to the airport to receive his son. His son came out of the airport. He was overweight due to excess eating and alcoholism and was wearing a bright-colored outfit. His tennis ball hairline was adding to his striking looks.
Uncle: Yuhoe-ah you are finally here! *He went and hugged his son*
Yahoe: Appa how have you been! It's been a long time.
Uncle: Let's go home your Eomma is waiting for you.
Yuhoe: Yes let's go I am hungry too. *They went**

After getting home, Aunt came out and hugged her son. She pulled his saggy cheeks and said.
Aunt: Aww my son has become so thin aish almost underweight! (Under-weight my ass)
Yuhoe: Mum I am hungry.
Aunt: Yes yes your favorite food is ready. Go freshen up okay.
Yuhoe: Yes *He went inside to get fresh*
Aunt: Let me get stuff ready and you get fresh too. *She told her husband*

While eating Yuhoe asked his mom about Mark.
Yuhoe: Now tell me mom what happened with that bastard!
Aunt: He refused to pay us a single penny!! He is working on something on his computer and he left and didn't come back yet!
Yuhoe: His father owned an IT company. He might be planning to take those over. I'll hack into his computer and delete all his files *He laughed* serve him right
Aunt: My son is so smart. *She looked at her son proudly*
Uncle: See I told you he is going to teach Hyung's son a lesson.
Aunt: Yes I had faith too.

After they were done eating, Yuhoe opened his laptop to access Mark's. His parents sat beside him to see what he does. He was trying to hack into Mark's pc and finally, he succeeded in getting into his computer. Mark was on his laptop since he had a lab hour at that time. He suddenly saw his device picked up a device trying to get access to his device. Mark looked at his screen amused. His professor looked at him and saw his expression and went to him.
Professor: Mr. Lee what is so funny that you are laughing in here.
Mark: Sir sir look here *He was laughing at this point* someone wants to play.
Professor: Oh My! Who is this poor dude?
Mark: Let me see. *He pressed a few keys and tracked the location of the device who was trying to hack his* oh it's at my aunt's house *Laughing* turns out their son is back.
Professor: Finish this fast we are waiting for you to complete the class.
Mark: Yes sir!!

He typed a few more keys and connected his device to the printer.
Mark: Wrong move dear cousin *He mumbled and took a printout of his details including IP address and location* and disconnected Yuhoe's device.
Professor: I am proud of you Mr. Lee. Your skills are amazing.
Mark: Thank you, sir. I learned it from you only. *Then they proceeded with the class*

**Meanwhile**
Yuhoe slammed his hand on the table making his parents flinch.
Yuhoe: That fucking rascal! How did he manage to disconnect me!! I can't believe this!
Aunt: Can't you do this again!
Yuhoe: I don't know what he did my computer got discharged!
Uncle: I think we have to find another way of teaching him a lesson and getting the property.
Yuhoe: What can we do appa??
Uncle: Use them!! *Making Yuhoe and Aunt smirk*

Who are they talking about and how are they going to use them? What happened to Mark's parents after the accident? What is coming for them in next coming days?
