Don't even ask me what this is. I'm not sure if this is an angsty ship one-shot or just angst alone.

Anyways, I haven't done shit here for a while, so while I'm able to, I'll just post this thing that I'll never finish.

Literally kill me- :

"You do not see it, do you?"

It was as if there was nothing that could possibly make Hank smile. Not at the moment at least. He never wanted to leave the safety of Mark's home, he didn't want to be having this conversation, and he certainly did not want to see Gabriel's face. He wanted to go back, to escape this terrible place in the clouds, but this was a literal god he was dealing with. He couldn't just leave. It wasn't that easy. The angel stood above Hank, his 10 foot frame casting shadow over him.

"Hello? When I implore you to communicate with me, I expect to be answered, subject." Gabriel continued to speak. "Or have you forgotten what power I have over you?"

        "I just.... I just don't understand it."

The twisted angel gave a stifled and annoyed chuckle. He had never understood why Hank was like this. Every day it was "what's this? I don't know about this! I don't understand this! Killing humans is bad!" and Gabriel was sick of it.

He spoke in a snobby tone. "I have explained this to you oh so many times. Is it that you choose not to understand it?"

Hank sighed. "I just think... we should maybe... give them a chance. They aren't as dumb and weak as you think they are."

"Subject. We are demons: Pure evil and torture encased in a physical form. Humans are inferior to us, and we gain strength from their souls. Fear makes us strong. That is simply how it is. How many times must I explain this to y-"

"But why can't we find a less harmful way to get stronger?"

Gabriel was surprised that another had the courage to interrupt him. At this point, it was as if he was just another person to Hank, not to be feared much at all. "Excuse me? You dare halt me when I speak? Have you forgotten your place?"

"I've told you all about those humans. You've heard just how amazing they can be. Why can't you give them a chance?"

"Because they are lower life forms. They are subservient to us, and must be treated as such!"

"But why!? Can't you put yourself in their shoes!? Think about what all this murder bullshit feels like for them!"

"Feelings from such underlings do not deserve to be considered!"

"They're not below us! If anything they're better than us!"

"What could you possibly know!? You've hardly a sliver of anything in that skull of yours!"

"Well at least I know how to love people!"

        "Such a thing is UNNECESSARY!"

Hank stared at Gabriel's angered face as a thundering cloud formed right above his head. He was well aware of what terrible things the angel could do, but failed to realize it until now. The sight of the clamoring rain cloud he subconsciously wore as an accessory to emphasize his hatred in the moment reminded him to keep his mouth shut and snapped him back to reality.

Though he had successfully put the other in his place, Gabriel almost immediately took a step back himself. He reached up a hand to shoo away the cloud and shook his head to remove his anger and the rain in his long hair. He knew how much Hank was afraid of thunder, and by some miracle, respected it. He let out a prolonged, disappointed, and almost hopeless sigh.

        "Darling..." He started.

"I thought I asked you not to call me that anymore..."

Hank turned his head away and sat on his knees in the cloud they stood in. He knew Gabriel would not let him leave anytime soon. Gabriel acknowledged his saddened expression, seemingly only barely. Though he never really acted like it, he did care about the intruder. He never liked when they argued like this, but it was inevitable.

"I know how much you dislike this, love, but it is simply the way things are." Gabriel stated. "It cannot be helped."

        "It could be..."

The angel got down on his knee next to the other male. "I'm aware of how much you love them, but their fates have already been decided. We thrive off of fear, and we will continue to for as long as we exist. There's no helping it."

There wasn't a response, instead Hank engulfed his face in shadow.
