"Is she back?"

"Yeah, she arrived last night"

"Did you talk to her?"

"How could I? She walks around like a ghost, one second she's here, and then poof! Gone!"

"Hmm, well let her sleep and we'll talk to her in the morning".

The person lifted their eyebrow," we? You mean you".

The other chuckled," what? you scared of her?"

"Fuck yes!" they replied with no hesitation. Both individuals laughed and gave each other a side hug," glad to see you're back with us".

"Well I couldn't miss today"

"You're right", they smiled while keeping each other in hold.

"I'll whip us up some waffles in the morning"

"Mmm yes please! I've been dying to eat your cooking since I left"

"Good... Goodnight Greg".

"Goodnight Nico", both parted ways and walked into their rooms, leaving the house quiet again.

The sun slowly began to rise, many would consider this a curse that was bestowed upon human beings as it compels them to get up from the comfort of their beds and forces their days to start. But feeling the warmth of the morning sun on their skin, Alessandro finds this warmth comforting, it means a new day has begun and his world is no longer dark or cold. He slowly gets up, his body sore from the mattress, as age begins to catch up on him. Over time his bones began to become rusty. With a small groan and a chorus of cracks, he yawns and scratches his head as his feet led him to the bathroom. After finishing his daily routine, he finishes off with a simple shaving, making sure his skin was smooth and soft.

He caresses his chin before nodding and cleaning up, he walked into the closet and picked out an outfit that was made specifically for this day. With an aching heart, he gently put it on, making sure no wrinkles were made from his movements. After he checked himself in the mirror, using a lint roller to clean off any fuzz that might have been left from the dry cleaners, once satisfied he walked over to the right side of the bed and kissed a sleeping figure on the cheek.

"Take the day off, I'll be gone most of the day", the person only smiled, he caressed their hair before straightening up and heading towards the kitchen. Upon descending from the stairs, the smell of bacon hits him, which forces his speed to pick up. Alessandro walked into the kitchen and instantly smiled as he saw his oldest son in the kitchen.

"Morning", he stood in front of his son and embraced him tightly, "didn't think you would make it back in time".

"Well I worked my ass off, you know I wouldn't miss today", Nico smiled but it was different. Everyone was different, some might say it is a bad thing but for them... it was good enough.

"Where's everyone?" Alessandro asked as his son slid him a full plate.

"Still sleeping, everyone got home late so they are most likely jetlagged", Nico fixed himself a plate and sat next to his father.

Alessandro glanced over, unknowingly smiling to himself, "This feels nice", he whispered.

Nico bit into a waffle, "What is nice?"

"Having someone to eat breakfast with", Nico looked at his father, who was staring at his plate with a sullen expression. Nico's gaze fell to the ground, he quickly pondered on what he should say next, afraid to hurt his father's heart even more.

"Dad, you know that we all miss you... right?" He mentally slapped himself, after not being here for years, it has become difficult to comfort someone. It made Nico even more mad that something he was so natural at became such a difficult task, he remained quiet until he was finally able to muster enough courage to look at his father.
