Ranboo's POV:

Y/N's stallion had gone berserk, so I pick her up and help her while having my horse gallop back to the palace. I wanted to cry, letting this happen while she was so excited to ride, but I couldn't. I couldn't because I knew that if I did, I wouldn't be able to carry her to safety.

Just as I ran into the stables, I saw Puffy waiting with the timer. It was probably around 3:15 right now. "Puffy, help, her horse started rearing and pushed her off, she's unconscious, I don't know what to do," I rambled. She quickly carried her inside, not saying a word to me. I led my horse back to her stall and walked inside. Just as I opened the door, the king was just about to come out. "What happened?" he asked sternly. "I- We went horse riding, her horse went insane.. It ran off in the woods... She was flung off, and probably kicked in the process. I didn't mean for any harm your highness," I explained. I was terrified. Just as I was getting to know her, I was about to get kicked out. "It's not your fault young man, don't worry about it," he said while putting his hand on my shoulder.

I was lead into the medical room, were I saw Y/N laying in bed. Wilbur was sat next to her bed, giving me the side eye as I walked in. I sat on the opposite side of him, on the other side of the bed.

"What did you do to her?" he ask in a stern voice. I may as well had a mental breakdown with all the feelings going through my head, but Puffy had heard what happened and answered for me. "He didn't do anything, the horse went mad and they fell," she explained. Wilbur sighed and looked down before answering. "Did they break their arm like last time?" he mumbled.

"I believe they did, I'm looking for the proper materials to give them a cast or something to make sure it heals correctly," she said. My eyes grow wide when she said she broke her arm again. I feel unbelievably bad... Her father most likely won't trust her on a horse again...

Wilbur looked devastated.

It had been almost thirty minutes before Y/N woke up. Puffy had wrapped her arm and put it in a sling while she was unconscious. She woke up super confused, and the first thing she saw was Wilbur. He instantly got up and hugged her lightly. She tried her best to hug back. I couldn't here what he was saying as I was overwhelmed with thoughts, but I knew we was staring at me the whole time.

"I'm sorry Y/N, but I need to go check on something, I'll be back as soon as possible," he said before rushing out of the room.

I couldn't bring myself to look her in the eyes, but I knew she was looking at me. "I'm sorry," I whispered. There was a long pause before she said, "Don't be, it wasn't your fault," similar to what I said when she apologized for my facial dysmorphia.

I finally looked up and met with her tear-filled E/C eyes. She started trying to get up, but I got up so she wouldn't have to. We stared at each other until I wrapped my arms around her and placed my head into the space on her shoulder. Suddenly there was a strange knocking pattern. Three knocks, pause, three knocks.

She then pushed me away with little strength and I ended up sitting back in my chair. She called out, "Sorry, come in Wil." Wilbur walked in and resumed his space in standing next to Y/N's bed. "I ask your father if we can postpone the "date" until you were even just a little better, but he says that we're running on a tight schedule and we have to get going at four. Five minutes from now," he said. "I'll get going then, enjoy your date," I said.

Timeskip

It was now 5:00pm, Wilbur and Y/N still had another hour together. At least I thought. I heard a knock on my door. I didn't think much until I opened it and saw Y/N crying. She instantly walked in, not even waiting for me to ask. I shut the door quickly and went over to her. "What's wrong Y/N? Are you okay? Did something happen?" I ask. I then realized I may be overwhelming her by bombarding her with questions, so I held her hand and calmly asked, "Are you alright?"

She took a second to process the question before shaking her head, tears streaming down her face. "Hey, hey, it's okay, I'm here now, take a deep breath," I said. We worked on that until she had calmed down a bit. "W-Wilbur.." she started. "He kissed me and I don't like him like that," she whispered. I'll be honest, I truly thought she liked him, I know her dad does. "You don't?" I blurted out on accident. "No, I've known him s-since forever, I see him as an older brother figure and n-nothing more," she explain. I pulled her to sit on my thigh as I hugged her.

"Shh, it's okay," I whispered as I felt her start to cry again. "I-I just d-don't want to lose him.. He's m-my best friend..." she whispered. "I'm sure he'll apologize, if he loves you he'll stop and stay as a friend as not hurt you," I said. I felt her breathing get steady and I assumed she had calmed down, but instead she had fallen asleep. I laid her on my bed and went to get Puffy.
