It was silent. In fact, Masayoshi could even hear the soft blows of the wind outside because of how silent it was. The bar, normally filled with laughter and yelling, reduced to a gloomy resting place for the boy as he couldn't care for himself anymore.
Next to the ravenette, the youngest and most recent emperor couldn't seem to crack a smile and from what she had seen of him in the past month or so, that was quite rare.
A soft rustling -- the only sound seeming to be produced in the room smelling of alcohol and medicine -- automatically had Masayoshi standing and rushing to lean over the blonde haired teen. He grunted and moaned a little before slowly peeling his eyes open, golden hues seeming to glow as soon as they connected with silver ones.
Thump. Thump.
Again, it was that feeling. The feeling that a soft cover was wrapped around her heart, offering her a warmth that she'd never felt before. Contrary to what all the romance books stated, her body was loose and calm, her eyes were steely, her palms weren't clammy at all, and she wasn't nervous at all.
Masayoshi failed to acknowledge it before but she was no idiot, for some reason, William made her feel calm.
Perhaps it's because of love, or perhaps she simply enjoys his companionship and presence, but she wouldn't know anything about love unless someone who has experienced it could confirm her feelings.
However, in order to do that she needs to speak about her feelings, and her father isn't particularly fond of such an idea. It doesn't matter that she isn't a man, according to his rules any emotions she felt other than anger were unnecessary and irrational.
For now, that seems to be the easiest explanation for her so it's one that she'll take.
"Rest, William." A hand pressed on his chest, refraining the young blonde from sitting up and creating a bigger problem to solve. However, it seemed the teen didn't care for a frown tilted his lips down and he let out a huff, staring down at his hand for a few moments.
When his staring didn't cease, Alfred questioned him and William could only stare for a couple more seconds before offering up an answer, as if thinking or speaking hurt him.
"I can't move my hand."
"What are you on about, lad," Alfred pinched the boys hand with a needle, pricking the skin and drawing blood. Yet, William still didn't react, and Masayoshi couldn't help but think how useful that would be in battle. "Bloody hell, you've lost control and feeling in your right hand."
But then the sound of a clap, so sudden that it made the old man flinch as the three men in the room stared at the hand grasping Williams supposedly limp one.
