"Ding~! Man, I love that tone~! Welcome to the Labyrinth, Tsukikage!"
The elevator came to a stop and open to now show the office labyrinth Tsukikage had gone through not long ago. Reaching into his pocket, Fenrir pulled out a small card that he would swipe past the cubicle to the left of the elevator. The wall would let out a beep as a set of green flashed around the edges of the wall. Without warning, the cubicle wall would fall downwards into the floor in an act that made Tsukikage jump lightly.
Revealing a small path that led to a small staircase. The two followed the path and staircases up into an observation deck overlooked the entire course. Within the deck was a table that was meant for whatever pair of scientists or doctor would occupy it during a run. Looking off into the distance, Tsukikage was at a loss for words.
"The darkness was especially hand-picked for you, Tsukikage! Both instances you had your Fera-meter beep out was at night except for the one at your job. So to mimic the environments even better, we made sure to kill the lights!"
"And the elevator's power cutting-?"
"That...! Was completely on accident-"
"What!?"
"I meant to run a protocol that just meant you had to force the doors open! But an input error on my end stopped the elevator. Forgive me!"
As Fenrir hit the side of his head lightly with a goofy smile, Tsukikage just glared at him before sighing out.
...
In contrast to the barren office setting that was the course, now Tsukikage and Fenrir were walking through an actual office. One full of workers typing away at their computers, talking with one another about works, some speaking about other things by a water dispenser and others in a meeting in a conference room. However, one thing that stood out to Tsukikage was the fact that ALL the workers were wolfmen!
Each individual had different sets of colors to their skin, tails, ears, not a single person was the same! Yet the one thing that was the same about them was the fact the males had their Fera-meters fully green. Now Tsukikage was in awe as Fenrir spoke to him, although the older male had to occasionally redirect his attention to some greeting him from time to time with waves and smiles.
"This is the actual office! Not some labyrinth like the other. Here? This is a glimpse to each department in the building the holds a vital piece in keeping this company alive. Each tail, each ear, each little Fera-meter is a testament to us as a whole! Because not a single soul is left to be alone. Here? We are a pack."
"This amazing...Everyone's a wolfman-!"
"You sound...surprised...Did you even notice outside?"
Tsukikage was met with confusion from Fenrir in the form of a cocked eyebrow. Something that made Tsukikage tilt his head to the side. Fenrir soon let out a small chuckle...
...
"This...is amazing..."
Now the two were casually walking through the streets Tsukikage had run through earlier, it was a stark difference. Whereas before it seemed like rush hour, now it was calm and collective with people casually going about their day. Even more so, it seemed like nothing had ever even happened! But much like the office? Most people on the streets were wolfmen with the occasional other manimal or human.
"You see, Tsukikage, the Den holds the biggest wolfman to other species ratio in the world! Sure you'll find other havens like this in other cities, but here?"
Tsukikage was soon stopped when an outstretched hand from Fenrir made him jolt. Looking at the wolfman doctor, Tsukikage would raise an eyebrow before being directed towards the side. In the direction of the gesture was a small street vendor that was selling takoyaki! Immediately upon smelling and spotting the delectable treat, (Y/N)'s tail kicked up into a ferocious wag.
