Sidon x Link Fanfic

Chapter 3: Zora's Domain

Link galloped across Luto's crossing, he had been on the trail now for 5 hours and although he had had more than 7 encounters with lizalfos and octoroks as Sidon had warned he seemed to be doing alright. Most of the monsters he could simply gallop past, and any that tried to pursue him wouldn't stand a chance against him. He was making his way past Ruto Lake and could see Zora's domain in the distance when he came to a clearing, everything was still and quiet. 

He could sense that there was something hiding here and drew his bow. He looked around but still saw nothing, he was about to continue down the path when he heard the shrieks of Lizalfos behind him. Link turned around and saw around 10 of them circling him and Midna, he noticed that none of them had the usual spears or boomerangs, All of them had bows.

 One of them pulled out an arrow, he looked closer... the arrow head almost looked like a lightning bolt... he had a silent gasp as he realised what it was. He galloped away as fast as he could but the shock arrow was quicker. It hit Midna squarely in the rump and that sent her bucking viciously. Link was thrown off of Midna and crashed onto the wet earth, his body seared with pain and he heard what sounded like shouting but couldn't make out who it was before passing out.

~Sidon POV~

Sidon pushed pass the nurses and medics to get to Link, he was horrified at what he saw. Link was in a hospital bed, with an IV attached to his arm, a ventilator mask covering his face, a heart rate monitor slowly beeping away next to him and bandages covering his torso, right arm and left leg. Sidon turned to one of the medics,

"What happened to him?" he asked,

"He's suffered several gashes around his torso, he's sprained his left femur, and his brachial artery has been punctured." The medic responded, 

Sidon looked even more worried.

"How long will it be until he's healed?!"

The medic was talking with one of the nurses and took a while to get back to Sidon, 

"We estimate about a month."

Sidon's heart sunk, if Link would take that long to heal then the reservoir might burst by then. Suddenly, the heart rate monitor started beeping faster and louder, one of the medics shouted for everyone to clear away from Link as he rushed to the bed. Sidon noticed Link's expression, he looked like he was in pain and his breathing was erratic and heavy. The medic crouched down next to Link, he pulled out a needle from the breast pocket on his coat, it had a blue serum inside of it. The heart monitor started beeping faster and Link's breathing was getting heavier, 

"We're losing him!" called out one of the nurses.

The medic next to Link quickly pierced Link's groin with a needle and injected the blue serum. There was a moment of tension as everyone waited for something to happen, after a moment Link exhaled and the heart monitor went back to a slow steady pace. Everyone in the room let out a sigh of relief, Sidon included. The medic who had injected the medicine into Link called out for everyone to leave the room, as Link needed rest. Sidon asked if he would be able to stay with Link, the medic sighed and looked at his watch.

"Half an hour," he said,

"Thank you," Sidon replied.

Slowly all the medics and nurses shuffled out of the room so it was just Sidon and Link. Sidon pulled up a chair next to the bed and sat down, he combed his hand through Link's hair. It was blonde and silky, he looked at Link's face. He had beautiful clear blue eyes and pointy little ears, slowly Link's eyes started to droop down and it wasn't long until he was fast asleep. Sidon admired Link even more, he looked so cute when he was sleeping, he seemed so relaxed and his ears would twitch every now and then. Wait, Sidon thought, why on earth was he thinking this? What was he doing? Thinking of Link as "cute", he couldn't possibly be attracted to Link, no, that couldn't work. It would hardly look good if Zora's future prince was engaged with a man, and a Hylian at that. Sidon thought about this for a while until he noticed that Link was waking up, he opened his eyes and sat up on the bed. He groaned when he saw his situation, he tried getting out of bed but Sidon pushed him back onto the bed.

"You need rest, Link." he said in a soft tone,

"Come on, lie down," 

Link resisted for a little while but eventually relaxed back on the bed, Sidon chuckled,

"You've been through a lot my friend, I don't know how you get through this. You must be very tough to endure this kind of stuff." Link slowly sat up again, Sidon prepared to push him back onto the bed, but instead of getting up, he began to speak to Sidon in sign language.

"How long will I be here?" he asked.

"Well, the doctor said that you'll be in here for most likely a month, hopefully you'll heal before then." Sidon replied. 

Link was disappointed at this, he slumped back onto the bed and silently sulked. 

"Hey, don't give me that. I'm sure you'll be fine soon." he brushed back Link's hair, Link's eyes moved to the side and he blushed slightly. He seemed like he was about to do something, without thinking, Link threw off his mask. He grabbed Sidon by the shoulders and pulled him in.

"I say Link what are you doi-" Sidon was cut off by a pair of lips, Link's.
