Just like that, Taehyung flew away from Yoongi... Again
he went to the deep safety of Kim's estate in Jeju, leaving his heart and soul with Yoongi. Taehyung put the heartbreak aside and started working himself for a better version, also giving himself a much-needed rest from the constant work he has done for the elder's recovery.
he found himself planning a way to approach the elder without scaring him. He wants Yoongi to be himself again before the whirlwind of emotions Taehyung is going to put the elder on.

"Yoongi's life is full of heartbreak Taehyung-ah.."
He remembered Namjoon confessing in the middle of the night in the elder's hospital room. "I have no place to talk for hyung and I'm sure he will open up to you when he is ready, but he is so damn hurt and I hate to watch the way it eats him piece by piece with every passing second" Taehyung carefully pat elder's shoulder soothingly as Namjoon's voice become wet.
"People say, with time, we heal... But he keeps playing a losing battle when it comes to certain Park Jimin, who in my point of view, doesn't deserve this kind of love from hyung..." Namjoon said, a hint of anger colouring his voice.
"You tell yourself that they are good, you tell yourself they care about you, too. you do everything for them, you go out of your way to make them happy, you look after them every time they are sad or lonely, and slowly without really knowing it, they start taking you for granted. That's exactly what happened to hyung" Namjoon's deep voice echoed in silence, bringing a monochrome feeling to Taehyung's heart.
"Jimin took advantage of hyung's trust and play with his kindness. Jimin kept making mistakes and they are forgiven so the next time onwards, he stopped thinking too much about how hyung would feel about what they do because, in the end, hyung will always forgive him. Hyung never made Jimin beg for forgiveness no matter how hard the younger is at the fault..."
"I think slowly Jimin stopped thinking about hyung's feelings, he stopped wondering how hyung is doing, or if what they are doing would hurt hyung, instead he makes it all about himself, making all those stupid excuses, all the while Yoongi hyung is keeping calm, not reacting, waiting for him to go back to being the person he cared about, waiting for Jimin to come back to Him."
Taehyung couldn't help but hug Namjoon as soon as the words left the elder's mouth with an immense amount of hurt and hopelessness. Namjoon has witnessed quite a lot; Taehyung is more than one hundred per cent sure the elder has done anything and everything he could do for his Yoongi hyung to spare him from this emotional torture.
"And I'm sure he has noticed it because hyung cares too much and he doesn't miss a single shift of people he cares about, but decided to stay like he didn't see or notice.
However, he pretended that he hadn't even realised how silently he have left Jimin's mind, how quietly Jimin has distanced himself from hyung, how slowly Jimin have let go of hyung as he changed and become someone none of us no longer remember, someone, hyung no longer knew."
Taehyung felt the first couple of tears cascading along his delicate cheeks, unable to hold the pain his hyung has endured all this way, unable to cope with the story Namjoon has been whispering to his heartstrings.
"And then hyung was left behind, in the dark all alone not knowing where he went wrong or what he has sone done. and no matter how much he cared for Jimin and Jimin cared for hyung, because in the end, even good people can hurt you."

Present Day
Yoongi blinked his eyes open, eyes falling on the familiar surrounding of his bedroom. The blue and grey sheets underneath him radiated a warmth of security he has always loved to receive. Refusing to get up he curled more into his soft mattress, his mind unconsciously wandering towards the last night, the worst day of his life which sadly happened to be his 27th birthday night.
He wished it was all a nightmare. The proposal and everything happened that day. He remembered how beautifully Jimin's eyes crinkled when he looked at Jungkook, he remembered how the youngest's eyes were adorned with so much love towards Jimin's. his Jimin
A cold breeze hit Yoongi's vulnerable form harshly, making him crawl into a ball, hugging his pillow. He closed his eyes and recalled the hug he and Jimin shared. The younger's warm scent had calmed him in seconds. He hugged his left hand to his chest where the simple silver band which was engraved with Jimin's initials sat on his ring finger.
Some days, he can't stop thinking about Jimin no matter how hard he tries to. and other days, he wonders why he is wasting his time.
Some love stories are hopeless. You have this love-hate relationship with them, and you're often left confused about their intentions.
There are days when the younger made Yoongi feel like he means everything to him - he told Yoongi that he is the best thing that has happened to him. Jimin chased him so hard. He replied to Yoongi in a matter of seconds and made him a priority. And screw Yoongi for thinking that he will remain as Jimin's priority forever.
But then, there were days, those are the most frequent ones to be honest, where Jimin was distant. Yoongi felt insignificant in the younger's life. His replies were cold and late. He went offline for hours and when he comes online, he didn't reply. He just drops Yoongi as quickly as they lifted him up. And screw Yoongi for not catching up on any signs of heartbreak.
He was left wondering if there was anything at all between the two of them because they fell asleep as more-than-best friends and woke up as friends.
When Jimin was around, Yoongi was undoubtfully happy. Jimin brought him comfort and a safety net - everything just feels right. And when he disappeared, Yoongi just want to say to him- 'stay, so I can be happy a little longer.' the elder made up so many excuses on Jimin's behalf - perhaps, "Jiminie wasn't ignoring me at all, but just had a busy day."
He was afraid to confront the younger even though he is the elder; he was always afraid to get closure. It's not the goodbye that will hurt Yoongi, it was just realizing that he just might not be as important as he thought and it was finding out whether everything the two of them had was true or not.
