Chapter 13: The Jades Of Kims'

2025 Winter - Seoul; South Korea

"Taehyung! Answer your damn phone idiot!" Taehyung was brutally awaken by his beloved hyung's striking voice. It took few seconds to him to come back to his senses from good long 12 hours sleep, which he luckily got after almost sleepless hectic week at the hospital.

His phone is ringing annoyingly on the.... Bed Side Carpet!? Damn it was fallen from the bed, he picked it up and scroll the screen to answer blindly, without checking the caller ID.

"Dr.Kim" The other side of the line addressed him with a clear urgency in her voice. "I'm sorry to interrupt your break, but we need you to come to the hospital as soon as possible. It's a hit and run! He is barely breathing and he is bleed-"

Taehyung jumped away from the bed ran straight to the bathroom. He didn't bother to listen to the rest of explanation the nurse was muttering nervously. Taehyung was at the verge of panicking. Sure he has done handful of surgeries during last two years as a medical surgeon. But this is the first time he had to run to the hospital to see the patient instead of welcoming the patient at the hospital. So he was and so scared to waste even an extra second at home. And strangely, nowhere like before his heart lingered more about the whole deal.

Taehyung shook his unwanted thoughts and he barely got time to brush his teeth properly. Well he has a life to save; not the teeth to worry about. He got dressed even more quickly and ran to his car praying the victim will hang on until he arrive.

He flew to the hospital with his Hyundai Genesis GV80.

Yes..!! Kim Taehyung is hell a rich bachelor in heart of Seoul. Being the 2nd son of CEO of Kim's co-operation which is the 2nd largest architecture firm in East Asia is an addition yet powerful touch to Taehyung's flawless service as a highest ranked medical surgeon at such a young age around 24. Even the younger isn't an idol like his brother, they both look like they're came straight out from a cover of magazine, always look stunning in whatever they're wearing. They both ranked highly in Forbes' "Most Eligible Bachelors in Asia" for several years. Showing off the power they own by the family and their own carrier success.

As you can see, most people think he is very close to perfectness. But as in everywhere, if there is a light, there is a darkness too. Tragedy dark side of the Kim's was not exposed to public. It is stickily prisoned inside the Kim's mansion for many decades.

Kim Junsu and Kim Seohyun have been happily married for 2 years when 1st son, Kim Seokjin born into this world. Multiplying their little family's happiness, Kim Taehyung was born in to their family, two years later binding them with an endless warmth despite the coldness of December. The four Kims had lived a fairy tale life filled with love and care, until everything started to down turn.

Seokjin was 15 and Taehyung was 13 years old when they found their beloved mother unconscious on the cold white marbles in the kitchen. Their mom has weak immune. She was always paler than rest of them but she is the most beautiful woman Taehyung has ever seen. Despite her weak immune, Taehyung's mom was a strong woman who can do anything for her family's happiness. Taehyung has been awed by her mother's strength since he can walks without a help. So they were beyond worried and scared to the death when they saw their mom unconscious.

A week later, after countless tests and scans, their family doctor has announced that Seohyun has been suffering from HCM (Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy) since the birth, there was no trace of surprise on his face. So he has known it before.

He remembered how furious his father got that day at the doctor because he dared to hide it from her husband for many years. He saw the pain in his father's eyes, the indescribable hurt shining in once strong and powerful eyes after hearing the love of his life's health condition.

The doctor has apologized over and over saying their mother didn't wanted them to worry about her and that's why he kept it as a secret. After those words he clearly remembered the way his father slid down against the wall of their bedroom, breaking in to a quiet sob.

Unable to understand what's going with their mom, little Taehyung grabbed his hyung's wrist; "Hyungie, will eomma wake up soon?" Taehyung asked Jin almost tearing up. Although the situation wasn't settled down to his brain yet, Jin brought his little brother in to a warm embrace, kissed his head and assured their mom will be fine soon.

Their mother was put in to a specialized medical care after the incident. They hardly got a time to spend with her.

Taehyung has missed her than Seokjin; because he has been more attached to their mom than dad, while Seokjin loved to glue himself around their father. Taehyung always went to "Seohyun's Choice" which was the fashion designing company his mother owned.

He has always loved to help Seohyun, with everything he has despite being small. She never forgets to give him a priceless lovely smile and kiss his forehead with adoration, every time he do something for her. And Taehyung would do anything to see that smile on her mom's face; he wouldn't trade that love for all the money in the world.

They said HCM wasn't fatal. They said it can't cause the death of a person. But heaven has decided to take her back sooner than everyone wanted; despite the great efforts of specialists, ignoring all the prayers from her beloved family, destroying all the hope in Kim Taehyung........

Seokjin was 16 and Taehyung was 14 years old, when their Morning star, their sunshine faded away from their lives, Forever...
