"Hey Kid! Wake up!" The sounds of banging against bars filled his ears as he rolled over on his creaked bed. He groaned, awaking from his already terrible sleep to glare at the man. He grimaced, his heart ached. That man had blue hair."Jafar, wake up. Come on, wake up!" Aiden pushed Jafar's shoulder roughly, causing my brother to stir slightly. I could see blood coming through the bandages onto his clothes, and grimaced. It was time to change them. Jafar sat up, wincing and wrapping his arm around his wound, before glancing at his surroundings. We were currently in the forest alongside the road. Far enough in not to get spotted, but close enough to not get lost. It seemed Jafar's gaze stopped at me, but I wasn't going to look at him, not after all the pain I put him through. He didn't comment on my presence, turning to Aiden, who was helping him stay up.
"What happened?" His voice was sluggish, and I doubt it was because of just waking up. The car had run out of gas, though, so we'd have to walk to rest of the way to get Jafar help. Aiden frowned and glanced at me, and I made sure to return his look, before he smiled back at Jafar.
"You're hurt, we're taking you to a place that will fix you up." Is the only explanation he gave, before lifting Jafar's shirt. Yup, blood was going through the bandage. Aiden turned to his bag and pulled out the last of our bandages, but I grabbed them out of his hand. "H-hey!"
"I'll do it, you go rest. You've been driving all day." I told him, giving no room for him to complain back. He just gets up and goes to his makeshift bed. The sun is barely over us when I start undoing my brothers bandages.
"I'm surprised you- tsk!- stayed." Jafar mumbled as I patted down his wound with some medicine. I could tell he was holding in his already shallow voice, and it almost made me laugh.
"We're brothers, aren't we? Friends from the beginning, friends till the end?" At that, Jafar chuckled, which only seemed to cause him more pain.
"Ngh- don't make me laugh, it hurts when I laugh..." I frowned, looking down at his wound as I wrapped it. The bullet was still inside, so the internal bleeding wouldn't stop or heal. I clenched my hands together.
"I'm sorry." Jafar's eyes widened slightly, turning to me. For the first time in a while, I saw a genuine look of concern laced on his face.
"For what?"
"If I hadn't left you there, on the side of the road... you wouldn't have gotten shot. If I had done better at protecting you, then maybe... maybe you... wouldn't have had to go through this." I gently placed my index finger over one of his scars, running over its line before removing it and placing a small kiss over it. "Do you remember when dad would show us his scar? He one on his chest? We were so scared by it that we'd have nightmares of how painful it would've been." Jafar didn't say anything, only nodded. It was silent for a long time after that, while I finished cleaning his wound and wrapping it. The sun had set down long before I was done, and Jafar was dozing off. Gently, I placed his down, using a blanket I found in his bag as his pillow and pulling off my jacket to put over him. I was about to leave, to go find my own corner to sleep in, when I heard him sigh.
"I remember when we were kids, yes... back when we thought the whole world would be ours... it's a nice... thing to look back on... such... naivety..." With that, he was out. I frowned, turning back and walking over to him. I laid down next to him, and cried. For the first time in the longest time, I had cried. I let out all my sorrows and guilt right then and there, and throughout the night I felt freed almost.

"4417, please step forward." He came from the line, over to the woman dressed in all white. She wore a mask that covered all but her eyes. She had a hat that covered most of her black hair. "You will be assigned with the usual today, lunch at 2, don't miss, and lights out at 9. Understood?" He nodded, knowing that speaking was a death sentence here. When he looked to see who he was working with today, he saw that same blue hair.

"You didn't tell me there was wolves here!" I yelled as we ran. Well, Aiden and I, I was carrying Jafar, who was more-a-less asleep, waking up every once in a while when we woke him up for food or when he woke up naturally.
"Usually Jafar gets rid of them!" Aiden yelled back, running ahead of me.
"So my brother is a wolf whisperer now?!" I screamed, nearly dodging a pair of teeth. Aiden didn't respond, as he too was dodging wolves coming at him in multiple directions. He jumped up onto some rocks, eventually climbing up a small hill where the wolves couldn't get to. I followed behind, but found it difficult with carrying Jafar on my back. I groaned, turning back and blasting some flames at the wolves, which did some to scare them off, but only for a short while as my flames dispersed and downed. As the wolves approached us, I had an idea to just throw Jafar up there with Aiden, but that could do more harm than good. I needed to find a way for both of us to make it out.
"Be. Gone." Suddenly Jafar raised his hand, and the wolves whimpered and dispersed, leaving us alone. My brother then fell limp on my back, and I heaved a sigh of gratitude and relief.
...
"He just overexerted himself, that's all." Aiden explained, running his hand over Jafar's forehead. He sighed, but smiled. "Good, no fever." I must've gave him a confused look or something because he felt the need to explain. "Jafar has a tendency to get sick often. Especially when injured, which he does get into trouble a lot. Should I tell you about the time I found him trying to sneak inside- nevermind..." I blinked, but not out of shock. Aiden didn't like me, I knew that, but this was the farthest I had gotten with him to an actual conversation. I forced a smile, leaning against a tree.
"Jafar was a huge crybaby." I murmured, and Aiden's ears perked up. "He never left my side, or our moms, for that matter. I feel like I babied him too much when we were younger, and now..." I looked down at my brother, who was going in and out of sleep. "I'm scared he may never come back..." I almost felt like my entire mind went swimming, like I was back in my childhood bedroom, crying for my "mommy" after having a nightmare.

...The machine wired to his head cut into his skin, it hurt and he wanted to scream. The sounds around him made his ears boil with blood and he tried his best to stay awake. "AAAAAHHHH!" He screamed and yelled, looking to the man in white with blue hair holding the controller. "STOP IT- H-"
...
Jafar gasped awake, grabbing his hair and letting out low pitch screams as if his voice had been taken from him. He curled up into a ball, holding the back of his head tightly. He could feel his blood soaking through his bandages as he folded himself. After a minute, he felt a hand over his back, gently running over his tensing body. Slowly, he relaxed, and drifted back into his slumber. "Hina...."
