TIME: 6:50 PM, BLAZE'S GARAGE
"Aj.. hey, Aj.."
"What is it, Blaze?"
"We need to get ready. The race starts in 10 minutes."
"Okay, Blaze." Blaze and Aj exit the garage and let Lightning sleep.
"Okay Aj. Let's get ready for the race."
"Okay, Blaze, but we better hurry up, the race will begin in 10 minutes."
"I'm going to go stretch my tires Aj."
"Okay, Blaze."
Blaze stretches his tires for about 5 minutes before going back to wake Lightning.
Lightning begins talking in his sleep.
"Okay.. here we go, focus, speed.. I am speed.."
"Faster than fast.. quicker than quick.. I am Lightning.."
"One winner.. two losers.. I eat losers for breakfast.."
Blaze chuckled when he heard Lightning sleep talking. Blaze decided to listen to Lightning's sleep talk.
"I will win this race.. I know that I will.. I will make you proud, Doc.."
"Who is Doc..?" Blaze asked to himself as he listened more into Lightning's sleep talking.
"I promise you Doc.. I will win in this race.. I promise.."
Blaze wanted to listen more into Lightning sleep talking, but he knew he had to wake Lightning up, the race starts in 2 minutes.
Blaze bangs on the garage door 4 times and wakes Lightning up.
"Hey Lightning.. it's time for us to.. hit the track.."
"Five more minutes.."
"Lightning, the race begins in two minutes!"
"Okay.. I will be out soon."
Lightning exits Blaze's garage and they both head towards the race track. Darrington stops them to say something.
"Hey.. guys.." Blaze and Lightning turn around to face Darrington.
"Good luck in the race, you two.."
"Thanks Darrington. We really needed that." Lightning replied fo Darrington.
"Thank you, Darrington. We will see you after the race."
"See you two after the race!" Darrington says as he turns around and leaves the race car and the monster truck alone.
"Well Blaze, I think it's time to.. hit the track."
"I couldn't agree more." Blaze agrees with Lightning.
Blaze and McQueen head towards the track and are met with roaring audiences, and the announcer.
"Ladies and gentle trucks, welcome to the second Axel City Grand Prix!! There will be 20 laps in this race, and the most exciting part, this race is featuring, none other than.. Lightning McQueen!!!" The audience roars louder at the mention of Lightning McQueen's name.
"Looks like they really love you." Blaze says to Lightning with a smile.
"Yeah. I think you're right, Blaze."
Blaze chuckles at this. Blaze and McQueen get into their racing positions.
"Racers.. on your marks.." Blaze and McQueen revved their engines loudly.
"Get set.." Blaze had a determined look on his face, while Lightning had the same expression as Blaze.
"GO!!!"
