My Idol is My Best Friend (A Blaze and Lightning McQueen Crossover Fanfic)

Preperations

"Lightning, I'm sorry.. I have to go back to Radiator Springs, even though I want to stay with you.. I'm worried about you Lightning.. I've never been away from you this long.."

"Mater, please.. go back with them.. I will be safe here.. Don't worry.. I will be back.."

"Okay buddy.. if you say so.."

"Well.. I guess this is goodbye.."

"Goodbye buddy.. I don't want to leave you here though.."

"I'll be fine, Mater.."

"Well, goodbye buddy.. I will miss you.."

"I'll miss you too Mater.."

Mater drove to the rest of the townies and they all exited Axel City and were heading back to Radiator Springs.

Lightning had a frown on his face. Blaze and Aj went to cheer him up.

"Hey.." Blaze said, making Lightning jump in surprise.

"Oh.. hey.. Blaze.."

"Look Lightning, I saw what happened.. and I know what it feels like to be separated from your friend.." Blaze said to Lightning with a frown on his face.

"You do..?" Lightning asked while looking up at Blaze

"Yes.. I do.. It started when me and Aj were about to race against Crusher.. Crusher cheated by separating me and Aj away from each other, so that he could win the race.."

"Wow.. what a selfish.. brat.."

"I know.. He always thinks he can get away with cheating.. I guess he will never learn his lesson.."

"Yeah.."

"Lightning, to cheer you up, we have a surprise for you! Well.. for us.."

"You do..?"

"Yeah! Just follow me and me and my friends into the Monster Dome!"

"Don't forget, they are our friends."

"Hehe.. yeah.. my bad."

"It's okay, Blaze. Everyone makes mistakes."

"Yeah, you're right. Just follow me."

"Okay." Lightning replied

Blaze and McQueen enter the monster dome. It's quiet, Lightning  and Blaze wasn't expecting the Monster Dome to be so quiet, it's usually loud, like a club or a party.

Blaze and McQueen headed to Darringon's garage and met up with Darrington.

"Darrington.. are you in there..?" Blaze receives no response

"Darrington..?" Blaze opens Darrington's garage door to find no sign of the daredevil monster truck

"Well that's weird.. he's usually here.."

"Yeah.." Lightning replied.

Blaze and McQueen go to Starla's garage to see if she's there.

"Starla..? Are you in there..? Starla..?" Blaze gets to response from the cowgirl monster truck.

"No one is here.. let's check the other's garages."

Blaze and McQueen checked the other's garages, but there was no sign of anyone.

Blaze and McQueen turned behind them to find a surprise.

"Surprise!!" Everyone shouted at the same time.

"Did you see the look on your face? You were like, 'AHHHHHHH!!' And I was like, 'Surprise!!'  " Pickle said excitedly.

"Guys, do you want to tell us what the surprise is?"

"Oh yeah, the surprise is, a special event for the both of you!" Darrington replied to Blaze

"What is this, 'special event' ?" Blaze and McQueen asked at the same time.

"A race between the two of you! A welcoming race for Lightning and to see who wins! Whoever wins gets a giant trophy, not like the regular trophies, but huge! The trophy is like, 10 feet wide and 10 feet tall! Plus, with McQueen's arrival, Axel city is going to get more citizens!"

Blaze and McQueen started to grow smiles on their faces.

"Really..? A race just for us..?" Lightning and Blaze asked at the same time.

"Of coarse! Two of the best racers deserve a race together!"

"You know what Darrington? You're absolutely.. most certifiably.. right!"

"You guys ready for the race?"

"Yes, we definitely are!" Blaze and McQueen said at the same time.

"That sounds great! The race starts at six o clock, PM."

"Wait a minute, the race is today?!" Blaze asked with shock.

The realization hits Darrington. "Oh no, we should have notified you two earlier.."

"No no, it's okay Darrington. Better late than never, right?" Blaze had a smile on his face while saying that.

"Yeah.. I think you're right, Blaze."

Blaze turns to face McQueen

"Come on Lightning, let's get prepared for the race later!" Blaze said to Lightning with excitement

"Okay, Blaze!"

Blaze and McQueen head to Blaze's garage and enter.

McQueen wanted to tell Blaze something before he slept.

"Blaze?"

"Yeah, Lightning?"

"Don't mind if I'm sleep talking, it's how I motivate and prepare myself for a race."

"Okay! I will wake you when the race is about to begin"

"Okay, Blaze." McQueen falls asleep in less than five minutes preparing for the race that was about to happen in a few hours.
