After that quick little fast performance, I noticed that Tevin grabbed the microphone and said that he would be back after a fifteen minute break.

Great! Perfect timing to get this over with.

I secretly followed him backstage and called out his name to get his attention. He stopped and asked who I was and why was I here.

"I'm a friend of your mother's. She asked me to come and talk to you."

"Why?"

"Because, she....she's...uh...she's worried about you and.... your school work."

"School work? My school work's fine. I ain't failing anything."

Oh. Maybe not so nice.

"Oh. Well, I was sent here to make sure that it stays that way. Have you been doing anything outside of school that I should know about?"

"Wait, are you that new teacher that my friends were telling me about? Ms. Davenport?"

"Davenport? Yes, yes I am! Now, is there anything else?"

Great, now I'm stealing people's names now? I don't even know who this Davenport lady is.

"Other than the club, nothing special."

"Oh."

"Anywayyy...I'm gonna go but, you were awesome on stage."

"Thank you." He was just about to walk out of the building until I took it upon myself to follow right behind him and try to convince him to tell me why he needs help.

"Hey, where are you going?"

"I'm just going to the bathroom. But, it was nice to meet you Ms. Davenport."

"Nice to meet you too."

He left me there standing in the middle of the hallway and I face palmed myself before turning around and walking into my lane of humiliation before heading back to the front of the club.

"Well, that was eventful." Cocoa mentioned before taking a sip of her drink.

BeBe turned to me and said, "Wait a minute, you gave the assignment to Rose?"

I sighed and said that I did but it wasn't by choice.

"How did she even know about the assignment?"

"I don't know. She just mentioned it to me when she came here and-"

"I should've known that she would do something like this. I mean, look at how she's been acting with us."

"Well,that is true. She has been acting real weird lately." Cocoa co-signed.

"Look, there's nothing that I can do, okay? It's not my decision."

"Not your decision?! You had every right to stop this!" BeBe mentioned.

"Me?"

"Yes! You had a choice. You could've convinced him to do something and you didn't. I mean, what even happened?"

"What I do, is none of your business, alright?"
