"Wait, Dawn. Can we at least go get the book first?"
She sighed and said that we could. So, I was just about to go back to tell Prince about it until she stopped me by saying, "No, we're not getting anyone involved. You are going to take me there. Now, do you know where you left it?"
"Y-Yeah. I left it at his club."
"His club?"
"Yeah, the Glam Slam. Prince's club. "
"Alright, well, let's go then."
"Wait, but what about the assignment?"
"We'll get to that later. Now, let's get this book, so that I can get things back in order for the house."
"The house? What's wrong with the house?"
"I don't know. That's why we need to get the book back and figure out why that is."
**** Glam Slam 1990
"Are you sure you left it here?" Dawn asked walking inside the club with me, with the music blaring from all over and people living it up as if they were living in it.
"Yes, I'm sure. Now, wait here, I'm gonna go and get it." I told her before heading past the group of people dancing to get upstairs.
"Alright now, hurry back !"
"Okay."
As I made it up the stairs, I looked back to see that Dawn was at the bar, just standing there in a uncomfortable way, as if she hated these types of places. That was until I saw that a guy approached her trying to talk to her. So that basically let me know that I really needed to hurry up now. I went inside to his studio and saw that in the place where I left the book, it was gone.
You've got to be kidding me!
I searched everywhere in the studio and it was nowhere to be found. So, it must've been in his bedroom. By heading to his bedroom, I looked to see that his room was filled with music sheets, a computer, a latter that was metal, a heart shaped bed, and the lighting was very dim. I looked all over the room and there was nothing until I noticed in the corner of the room, there was a cubby filled with things that I never noticed until now. With only a few minutes left to spare, I looked through his things and saw that the book was there. Hurriedly, I opened it and surprisingly, there was something in it that said the words 'POWER' on it and my poems.
That's weird, why was this in the book now and not from before?
So I flipped through the pages and saw that there was more in it, with red ink. And the words said...
'OBSESSION'?
What in the world is going on here? I mean, how did Dawn not notice this? I quickly closed the book and put it in my back pocket before I looked down and saw something that caught my eye. It was a picture. A picture that I never thought I would see and I grabbed it slowly out of the cubby.
