- The Bailum Kingdom -

Wilbur had taken a hold of her hand the moment they stepped outside of the house. Y/n didn't mind at all, recognizing touch to be Wilbur's way of affection. The both of them walked along a trail for some ways until they came to a stop in front of a carriage, the horse neighing upon their arrival.

Y/n feigned excitement at seeing the horse and Wilbur cooed.

"You must really like horses, huh?" Wilbur said. Y/n nodded vigorously as she was lifted by Wilbur and placed inside the carriage. The last time they went to the capital there was a horse and she'd been just as excited then as she was now.

"You know," Started Wilbur, stepping inside the carriage and closing the door behind him. "There's a whole stable of horses at the castle, would you like to look at them? I have a friend who operates down there,"

Y/n beamed. That friend is exactly why she became so enthusiastic about horses in the first place. Because they happened to be one of the leading causes for Wilbur's death.

"Really? I have to meet them then! They must be super cool then if they like horses too!" Wilbur laughed but the sound came off more forced than natural.

"Don't get your hopes up, Y/n. And make sure when we get there that you stay close to me alright?" Y/n nodded, knowing very well that she's not going to be doing that whatsoever.

"Okay, Wil!"

In her past life, she'd never stepped foot inside the palace. An opportunity much like the one she'd been given never arrived for her then, but now that it had her look of amazement and awe weren't at all forced.

"This place is huge!" She exclaimed, arms thrown up as she twirled in the open entrance. Wilbur took a hold of her from beneath her armpits and lifted her.

"I told you not to wander too far—"

"But I didn't? I was right in front of you!" She giggled. Wilbur sighed, tucking her into his chest.

"I think it's best if I just hold you actually, just to be safe." He said more so towards himself. Y/n glared but masked it with a pout.

"What? No way! I can walk by myself Wil!"

"You heard her Wil, the young lady can walk by herself." A voice suddenly interrupted. Y/n tensed, turning her head to face whoever spoke.

Approaching the two of them with someone very familiar trailing behind him was Prince George: Evident by the gold crown he always wore with a mushroom-shaped jewel in the front, and an extravagant red cape flowing behind him that covered the back of his white blouse and black pants. The noise of his brown boots was loud against the marble floor, the sounds echoing in the large room they were all in.
