|01 : Azazel
The sun hung high in a cloudless azure sky casting a golden glow on every surface it hit, gentle rays hit the large stained glass windows on the castle reflecting a spectrum of colors throughout the rooms. A loud creak echoed through the large bedroom catching the attention of the princess who was packing stuff for her stroll around the avenue she always frequented.
"Oh, you're done early," said the princess upon seeing her older sister stumble into her bedroom holding onto the door whilst panting from exhaustion, the princess walked up to her closing her satchel by connecting its magnet snaps "First time?" The young princess asked crouching down to her sister's level, tilting her head to the side to get a glimpse of her sister's worn-out face "Obviously! I didn't know learning the lute had to be 4 hours! Look at my fingers! They're so sore!" The oldest complained showing her hand to the youngest in major disbelief. The youngest stared at her sore red fingertips for a moment, cracking a small smile finding the situation amusing.
She held her sister's forearms before standing up "You'll get better — eventually" the youngest reassured helping her sister up from the floor, the oldest let out a long tired groan at this "Ugh... I'm exhausted!"
"Too exhausted to go to Golden Goose Avenue with me, Rapunzel?"
A long silence occurred before Rapunzel spoke again.
"Wait, you're kidding right?" The youngest shook her head 'no' staring into her sister's eyes, Rapunzel let out a loud gasp at this. Shocked that her sister wanted her to come with her.
"Oh my goodness, yes! C'mon, let's go! Let's go! Let's gooo!"

"Rapunzel wait!"
Rapunzel's younger sister called out trying to catch up with her older sister, Rapunzel who was sprinting through the crowds of people within the avenue passing by merchants, vendors, kids, and other people who resided in that avenue. Rapunzel finally stopped in her tracks staring at a stall that caught her attention, the younger sister walked up behind her wondering what her older sister could be watching.
Rapunzel was watching a vendor lather a piece of bread with béchamel, topping it with shredded cheese and pieces of thinly sliced ham before topping it with another dollop of shredded cheese. The vendor then added another layer of bread covered with béchamel and then cooked it in the oven he had under the stall.
It took maybe around a few minutes till the vendor pulled the Croque-Monsieur out of the oven, chopping it in portions for people who were waiting in line "Oh hey, want me to buy you one?" Rapunzel asked noticing her sister's presence beside her "Oh yeah–"
"Mornin' Azazel, here to buy some? They're fresh from the oven" the vendor asks her grabbing a small paper bag from underneath, Azazel stared at the freshly made pastry for a moment before nodding "Yes please" the vendor grabbed one putting the Croque-Monsieur into the small paper bag and then handing it to her.
The vendor noticed Rapunzel's presence "Oh, this your sister?" Azazel nodded showing off Rapunzel to the vendor, Rapunzel happily waved ordering one pastry as well "Thank you! I'm Rapunzel, by the way! Nice to meet you!"
"Mmmm! This tastes so good!" Rapunzel compliments pulling the pastry back making the cheese she took a bite out of stretch, Rapunzel giggled while Azazel happily peacefully ate her food "This avenue looks bigger than I thought. It looked fairly small before we entered" Azazel hummed in response, her mouth stuffed before she eventually swallowed the Croque-Monsieur.
"Yeah, it does, doesn't it?" Azazel replies wiping the corner of her mouth with a handkerchief she took from her satchel, Rapunzel looked around the place stopping in her tracks once she noticed they were in front of a cosmetics store. Rapunzel turned her head to her younger sister "Say Azazel... Didn't you say you wanted to buy something from the cosmetics store nearby?"
"Oh right, do you want to come in or...?" Azazel asked, her eyes darting towards the cosmetics shop and then at her sister who was still eating her pastry, Rapunzel shook her head 'no' "No thanks, I'm still eating. I'll wait for you here" The two parted ways, the eldest stood outside while the youngest went inside.
The scent of perfume hit Azazel's nostrils upon entering the store, the bell above ringing making her presence known to the workers. Azazel closed the door behind her making her way to a certain aisle, the sunscreen aisle. The rows of sunscreens in various packaging styles and colors stuck out to her, advertising solutions and promises the sunscreen would do if you used it.
She looked away from the tacky sunscreens searching for the sunscreen she had been using for months. She spotted her favorite sunscreen, she reached for the sunscreen knocking a sunscreen resulting in it falling off and then—
"Ouch-!"
Azazel's ears perked up turning her head and seeing a short... Green dwarf? Goblin? Elf?? Azazel doesn't know but that's not important right now "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. Are you okay sir?" Azazel worriedly asks crouching down to pick up the sunscreen that hit his head, the green dwarf stared at her seemingly in shock upon laying eyes on her.
"Ah- uhm- no, no, you didn't mademoiselle! I'm fine" the dwarf reassured Azazel whose facial expression seemed skeptical of his response "Okay then, I am so sorry sir..." She apologizes, the green dwarf correcting her.
"Jack. Prince Jack." Azazel eyed him up and down then nodded "Right, I am so sorry, Jack. I didn't mean to make that sunscreen fall on you" she apologized again correcting herself once again, avoiding eye contact. The dwarf shook his head 'no', his cheeks flushed by her kindness.
"No no no, it's okay but...Mademoiselle, may I ask what your name may be?" He asked his hands held together, genuinely curious to know.
Azazel tilted her head to the side, looking away from him for a moment seeing her sister waving at her signaling to her to hurry up "Azazel, my name's Azazel" she answered taking a step back.
"Oh, would that be Princess Azazel then?" The prince asked her, Azazel stared at him for a minute then nodded wanting their conversation to quickly end "Yes. That would be correct"
"Figured, because you look-"
"Uhm, hey Jack. I have to go now, sorry to cut our conversation short" Azazel apologizes cutting Jack halfway through his sentence, Jack was taken aback at this. He had his mouth agape wanting to talk more but he nodded "No worries, No worries. Will you be back here?" The prince asked, a last attempt at making conversation before she had to leave.
"Thanks, Nina," she turned to face Jack, taking a moment to think of a response to his question "Yeah, probably" she replied grabbing her newly bought sunscreen before leaving the store, Rapunzel called out her name walking up to her with a muffin in both of her hands.
"What took you so long? I bought you this muffin, by the way," Rapunzel handed her a chocolate muffin whilst she took a huge bite out of hers "Oh, it was nothing. C'mon, let's get you home. You have a curfew remember?"
"Haha very funny, Azazel"
"What? Not my fault you're destined for the throne and need to constantly study for it" Azazel commented, Rapunzel pouted taking another bite of her muffin and then crossing her arms. Azazel stared at her, mildly confused at her behavior, Rapunzel let out a tired sigh "Why can't you take over the throne? You obviously have more experience than me"
"... You were born first, Rapunzel. Not me"
"Awe man..."
