and the lady
found a place to stay.
They entered
in one room
that has two
separate futons
with a fair distance
to each other.

rest well for tonight."
The blonde said
as he went near
the wooden casement window.

The lady asks
as she kneels down
to fix her futon.

feel weary for now,

The man says
as he glances over
at the woman.

with a wide grin
as she does
a heel sitting position.

The man asks
as he leans on the wall
beside the window.

has something happened?"
The lady asks

and the man could not help
but smile a little
as he stares at her.
He looks away
and gazes back
at the people below him.

"I have fallen
in love once."
The blonde starts to say,
and the lady intently listens
as she watches
the man's side profile.

"Yet she does not love me
the way I love her.
I gave her what I can give
despite having so little.
But she does not care
because I am not wealthy."
The man adds
and gazes at the lady's
saddened e/c eyes.

"I humbly apologize,

The blonde apologizes
and stands straight
to bow at her.

Please, stand up!
I am not a god
nor an empress
for you to bow your head
at me like that!"
The lady panics
as she waves her hands.

You deserve more
than this pathetic apology
of mine."
The blonde says,
still in his position.

"But I have already known
long before
that you are not a god."
The lady says,
which surprised the man.

The lady gives
a sweet smile.
"What is your name?"
She asks.

The man answers.
