I waited for Frigus for like an hour until it's 3:05 in the morning. Ambilis naman nitong mag maneho excited atang makita ang anghel niyang binibini.

"Love?" dinig kong tawag niya mula sa pinto.

Narinig ko din ang paglapag ng mga gamit niya sa bar island ng kitchen. I muted the sound of the movie then stood up to greet him.

He looked so tired and sleepy but yet, he's handsome as ever.

"I'm here," I said.

His expression changed the moment he saw me. I smiled back at him and put my arms around his neck. He gave me a soft kiss before hugging me tight.

"Sorry, I didn't sanitize first." he said in his baritone voice.

"Luh arte nito, okay lang." I responded.

Umiling ang loko. "Love, sa ospital ako nagta-trabaho. Dapat nilinis ko muna sarili ko before hugging and kissing you,"

Pinatakan ko ulit siya ng halik sa labi bago kumalas sakaniya at hinila siya paupo sa kitchen chair.

"I cooked for you, it's your favorite." I said that made him look at me in awe.

"Why? Is everything okay?" I asked, panicking.

"It is. It's just that, I can't cook for you anymore since the day I became a doctor,"

I received nothing. Really nothing. So I ended up riding to Cerene's car. Everyone left already and Cerene insisted on waiting for me so I've left no choice. I'm not comfortable sitting in the front seat beside her. She's my best friend I know but things slightly changed after she transferred school.

I felt her hands on my left hand.

"Rah, I'm s-sorry. I'm sorry for...for letting you fulfill our dreams alone," She said, looking at me then at the road.

I smiled bitterly. "It's fine, it's not your fault na hindi mo na gusto maging psychologist. Na-gusto mo ng mas may 'thrill' sa magiging trabaho mo," I said, sarcastically.

When we're still a child, all we wanna be is to become a professional psychologist. My reason is to help those who cannot help themselves. And we're each other's psychologist. Cerene and I are exchanging problems so that we can help each other get through it.

"Rah, I am still your best friend no matter what! I'm still willing to listen to you 24/7! Nothing's changed! I'm still helping people who died and cannot help their families to find out the truth about their deaths!" tuloy-tuloy niyang sabi.

Naramdaman ko ang komusyon sa loob ng sasakyan na 'to. Nangilid 'agad ang luha ko. Hindi ko lang talaga matanggap na iiwanan na niya ko sa field na 'to. I know I'm overreacting but you can't blame me, all my life, I was with her! Sa sections, sa groupings, lahat! And now it will all be thrown away because of our different dreams now?

"Over sugar coated words. You'll leave me someday! And you're starting to do your moves with this! Switching fields! Rene, malapit na oh! Eto na oh!" hindi ko na napigilan pang umiyak.

Umiling siya sa'kin. "Rah, believe me. I'll never l-leave you and you need to promise me that you also won't,"

"Enough, eyes on the road, Lady. We look like a couple arguing about something,"

After a long silence, my phone vibrated.
