Chapter 18

When I got to the 9th barracks I saw lieutenant Shuhei Hisagi standing in front of the gate. He is tall, has 3 scars above his left eye that go down his check, he is macular, and he has the number 69 on his right check. 'This must be Shuhei.' I think.

Shuhei-"Hello you must be the new captain." He says enthusiastically.
Fumiko-"Yes, my name is Fumiko." I said with a small smile.
Shuhei-"I'm Shuhei Hisagi. The lieutenant of this squad." He said with a big grin.
Fumiko-"It is nice to meet you." I say, and stick my hand out to shake his and he shacks my hand firmly.
Shuhei-"Looks like you took a beating lets go patch you up, then I will introduce you to your new squad." He said kindly.
Fumiko-"Alright."

We walk to the captains office. Shuhei opened the door, and we walked in. It is a very big office. What is in the office is: 2 desks, 2 couches that are across from each other, a table between the couches, and a bookshelf behind the desks.

Shuhei sat me down on the couch. Then he went over to one of the desks, and got a first aid kit out. Then he came by me, and sat down and started to apply some medicine, and bandages. He was so gentle when he was bandaging me up.

Shuhei-"There that should do it." He said kindly.
Fumiko-"Thank you lieutenant Hisagi." I said kindly.
Shuhei-"Your welcome. You don't have to be so formal. Just call me Shuhei, captain Fumiko."
Fumiko-"Ok Shuhei. You can call me Fumiko."
Shuhei-"Alright. Shall we go and meet the squad?" He asked.
Fumiko-"Yes."

We leave the office, and walk around the 9th division. I greeted every one but the 3 set. Every one seems happy that they have a new captain.

Fumiko-"Shuhei who is the 3 set?" I questioned curiously.
Shuhei-"That would be Sora Suzuki. She is a very bright young talented girl. She should be around here some where." He said kindly.

We walk around some more to see if we could find Sora Suzuki. We went to the training grounds. We see a tall small girl training. She has dark purple hair, and brown eyes.

Shuhei and I go up to the girl.

Shuhei-"Hay Sora stop training for a Minute, and come here." He said loudly.

She turned around, put her zanpakuto away, and ran up to us.

Sora-" What's up lieutenant Hisagi?" She said sweetly.
Shuhei-"I would like to introduce you to our new captain. This is captain Fumiko." He said, and she looked at me disapprovingly.
Sora-"It's nice to meet you." She said with no emission.
Fumiko-"I hope we can work well together." I say, and she walks off.

Shuhei and I walk back to the office. When we got there I sat down on the couch.

Fumiko-"Shuhei can I ask you a question?" I ask.
Shuhei-"Yes anything."
Fumiko-"Why did Sora act the way she did when you told her I am the new captain?"
Shuhei-"She idealized the last captain. She would do anything for him." He explained.
Fumiko-"I see thank you for telling me that. Lets do some paperwork."

We sat at our desks and did some paperwork. A few hours later we finished, and he showed me my room. I took a shower re-bandaged my wounds and went to bed.
