Chapter 23

Fumiko POV

I could feel some one poking my face, and whispering something to me.

????-"Wake up Fumiko.....Wake up you damn idiot!" The voice said loudly.
Fumiko-"Mmmmmhhhhh." I said in annoyance.

The voice sounded familiar, but I dint know who's. 'Who is talking? They sound so familiar? I just can't think on who it is.' I thought. My eyes fluttered open slowly. I saw a man in front of me. He has medium length red and orange hair, red eyes, tall, and muscular. He is waring a black cloak that has a fiery red dragon on the back of it. He looks to be in his mid 30's.

????-"Oh good your finally awake." He said as I sat up, then he helped me to my feet.
Fumiko-"Who are you?" I questioned.
????-"What you don't recognize me!?" He says with an surprised expression.
Fumiko-"*Sigh* No I don't recognize you, sorry."
????-"It's ok don't worry. I am your zanpakuto, I am Kasai Ryujin." He said proudly.
Fumiko-"Does that mean I'm in my inner world agin?" I looked at him in disbelief.
Kasai Ryujin-"Yes it does."

I look around, and I see that I am surrounded by mountains. 'It is the same as last time I was here.' Kasai Ryujin looks concerned about something.

Fumiko-"What's wrong? You look worried." I said concerned.
Kasai Ryujin-"It's that I feel something bad.... really bad is about to happen I don't know how to explain it. Just watch your back, and be careful." He said seriously.
Fumiko-"Ok.... Do you want to train for a bit?"
Kasai Ryujin-"Sure." He said happily.

We train for a few hours then I left my inner world. I woke up to some one stroking my hair. I open my eyes to see.....

Fumiko-"Ichigo.... what are you doing her?" I questioned.
Ichigo-"I heard from Rukia that you got hurt. I-I just wanted to make sure you are ok." He said kindly.

'You are always here when I get hurt. To comfort me.'

Fumiko-"I'm fine now I just have to go easy for a while. That's all." I explained.
Ichigo-"Ok you should get some more sleep." He said, and put a hand on my head.
Fumiko-"Ok." I said, and closed my eyes.

Ichigo POV

I heard from Rukia that Fumiko got badly hurt on a mission. I went to the soul society as soon as I could to make sure she is ok. Rukia told me that she is the new captain of the 9th squad. 'I couldn't be more proud of her being a captain. But I hope she is ok.' I thought.

I ran most of the way to the 9th division. Kenpatchi spotted me. He has that evil grin on his face that tells me that he wants to fight. I took Zangetsu out, and flash-stepped in front of him. I swung to the side, and knocked him through a wall.

Ichigo-"I don't have time for this!!!" I yelled at him.

I put my zanpakuto away. then flash-stepped to the 9th division captains office. I see Fumiko sleeping on the couch. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps. I walk over to her, and stroked her hair. A few minutes later she woke up.

Fumiko-"Ichigo.... what are you doing her?" She questioned.
Ichigo-"I heard from Rukia that you got hurt. I-I just wanted to make sure you are ok." I said kindly.
Fumiko-"I'm fine now I just have to go easy for a while. That's all." She explained.
Ichigo-"Ok you should get some more sleep." I said, and put a hand on her head.
Fumiko-"Ok." She said, and closed her eyes and fell to sleep.

When she fell asleep I gave her a kiss on the head. 'Sweet dreams.'
