9. A resentful pirate and the dragon shifters

I see how the water surface is getting further and further away from me.

Is my fate now sealed?

Does fate even exist? Why is fate sometimes so shitty?

No matter if there is fate or not, if I survive here, then Eustass Kid will get a rub that he will still feel in 10 years!!

Slowly I notice how the pressure continues to increase and the air is squeezed out of my lungs. I look again at the surface of the water. There's something bright there, I just can't see what exactly. It seems to be light blue or white? Maybe yellow too. A devil's power? Is there a fight? If so, then I want to get involved!

Due to the ever-increasing pressure, I pinch my eyes. Unfortunately, the last bit of air is squeezed out of my lungs and my lungs are now filling with sea water.

Then, all of a sudden, nothing. No pressure. Nothing wet. I hear the roar of my crew, the grumbling of Eustass. Stop! Why do I hear this?

I slowly open my eyes and cough up all the annoying water from my lungs. Then I look around, everyone is ready to fight.

"All right?" asks Law, who is sitting next to me. I'm sitting on the floor on deck of the Moby Dick. I looked at him. How the hell did I get here?! I was just in the sea and almost drowned!

"I exchanged you for a small stone with my devil power. Fortunately, you haven't sunk that low yet." he replies to my unspoken question, interrupting my thoughts.

"Thank you Law." I answer him and slowly get up. "Where is this dirty bag?! He can experience something!" I add and angrily go to the railing where everyone is standing.

"Oho, you're still alive." is Kid's mocking statement.

"You don't anymore! That was the biggest mistake you could ever have made Eustass Kid!" I say growling and jump on the deck of his ship. Immediately his crew gets ready for battle. But it is of no use to them.

"Oh yes, what do you want to do now?" asks Kid with a grin. He thinks I'm weak. This wanker will look around right away!

"Isaac! Make sure that Kid can no longer move. I take care of his crew." I give my order.

"Yes, Captain!" replies Isaac. From the faces of the Kid Pirates I can see that these idiots have never seen a dragon. The arrogant grin that Kid had until just now has now completely disappeared. If I'm serious, then completely! But I'm not going to kill these idiots yet. They could still be useful.

Since they are all impressed by Isaac right now, I take this opportunity and let the blood of his crew 'freeze' in their veins. It's not properly frozen, but they can't move anymore and are basically trapped in their own bodies. I usually only use this to intimidate or torture people, because it can cause extreme pain.

The crew immediately realized what was going on. I notice how they try to resist it, but they have no chance. For this I have perfected my devil powers over the years. Even a yonko would have problems getting against it. I don't say that I will stand a chance against a yonko, but still. I won't just give up.

The people I hold so captive still feel everything and get everything. The only thing they can't do is to move, I prevent that with my devil power. I see that Kid wants to attack, so I engage him in a conversation.
