Chapter 8

Jason POV

Tristan and I grew furious after what Louise said clicked. This bastard raped my mate...and he's going to pay for it.

I ran forward and my claws instantly came forth. I reached for his face and he barely dodged me in time, but I caught his shoulder instead. He yelled in pain and then shifted, throwing my warrior wolves off him. He was strong, but he wasn't as strong as me.

I bit his paw and he clawed my side, but I didn't feel it as I felt nothing but pain and anger and hatred for this guy.

"How dare you even touch my mate!" I growled.

"Your mate? She's mine dumbass!" he said.

I barked and bit him again.

"I'm going to kill you for what you did to her!"

The guy laughed. "I'd like to see you try! Do you even know who I am?"

"I don't care-"

"I'm Alpha Dominic of the Blood River pack! Lora is my betrothed and my mate, I'll do what I want to her when I want, even if I have to force her."

I snapped. Tristan took full control and we attacked him full force, but he seemed just as angry as me. Tristan blindly attacked him which caused him to be able to slip away from me. My warriors held me back from chasing after him.

"Let me go! I'm going to kill that bastard!" I growled.

"Calm down man!" Toby said sternly. "Let's just make sure our Luna is safe."

Lora! Tristan shouted, his anger suddenly turning to panic.

We spun around on all fours and raced back to the house. My heart was racing in panic, and still a little bit of pain. Within seconds the house was in view and I saw Lora, Louise and Dan standing on the front porch. Dan was the first to notice me and then Lora quickly looked at me too.

"Jason!" she shouted.

I quickly shifted and ran to her and hugged her tightly. I didn't care that I was naked, but obviously she was uncomfortable and Louise blushed and glared at me. I didn't care though; Lora was safe, she was perfectly fine.

"Jason..." Lora whispered as she hugged me back.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you!" I said, tears coming to my eyes. "I sorry I didn't protect you from him!"

"It's okay," she said. "I didn't know you then."

"I'm still sorry," I said.

We held each other for a few more moments before a cloth hit my face. I pulled back from Lora and pulled the clothing off my face and I saw Louise frowning at me.

"Put some damn clothes on you naked pervert!" she shouted.

Lora burst out laughing and then stopped and blushed as she looked away from me. I smiled and slipped into the shorts I was given. I looked back at Lora and saw she was walking away with Louise into the house. I sighed and walked inside followed by Dan and Toby who just showed up.

Lora POV

The house was huge! It didn't look like a mansion from the outside, but the inside was definitely larger than it showed. Louise and I were just looking around with Jason and Dan and Toby following behind us. We wandered into the kitchen and there I saw someone who looked very familiar.

"Michelle!" I said.

She spun around and looked at me bewildered before she smiled and ran around the island to hug me. She gave me a good squeeze and then she laughed.

"So, why are you not wearing a shirt?" she asked.

Jason growled and quickly embraced me form behind. "I completely forgot you need a shirt!" he said.

I laughed. "Sorry, but I'm actually quite comfortable like this."

"You mean this position?" Jason smirked.

I blushed and broke out of his hold, causing him to laugh. He walked over to a closet and pulled out a t-shirt and he handed it to me. I smiled and slipped it on.

"So, what are you doing here?" Michelle asked.

"She's going to live here now," Jason smiled.

Louise frowned at him. "Says who?"

Jason and everyone else frowned back at her. I felt very nervous about the tension in the room.

"My Luna is staying here," Michelle growled at Louise.

Louise growled back with power, and Michelle was surprised. "I don't think it's safe for her to stay here," Lou said.

"What do you mean?" Dan asked slowly.

I sighed, making them look at me. "Dominic knows that we're mates now, so he'll bring the pack over and attack. It'd be better if we left."

"No," Jason whined, spinning me around to look at him. His eyes held hurt and sadness again. I just wanted to hold him and tell him everything will be okay. "I want you to stay here...I need you to stay here!"

"But Jason-"

"No buts!" he said. "I love you Lora, I'll do everything I can to protect you, and that bastard won't lay another hand on you again."

My body erupted in fire. He loves me? After only one day together? Is he telling the truth?

Of course he is dipshit! Raine scolded. He's our mate! Of course he's going to love us!

But Raine, remember what happened last time someone said that to us?

She whimpered at the memory, and I felt the aches in my body again. I do think I sort of like Jason, but do I love him yet? I felt so confused!

Louise caught the looks and questions in my eyes and pulled me away from Jason and into a hug of her own. I felt a tear slip down my cheek as all the memories came flooding back, and my ghost pains returned. Everyone stared at me with sadness in their eyes, and Michelle looked to be on the verge of tears.

Toby hugged his mate while Louise and I embraced, and that left Dan and Jason staring at us in pity. I wanted to protect them, but I didn't want to leave them...not yet anyway.

So, important thing to note: I'm just going to finish this story and then I'm done with Wattpad! I've become too lost in my writings and become lazy so I'm only going to finish up this story and then I'm quitting.
