[Extra 3: Shen Qiaowei’s thoughts]

I met a very cute girl.

I came out of the library that day and discovered that it was raining.

At first it was very light, so I didn’t care, I walked back to the dormitory in the rain. Halfway through walking, the rain started getting heavier. I speeded up my pace and suddenly heard someone calling me from behind: “Classmate, I’ll help you block the rain.”

Then, a white umbrella with a pattern of small flowers suddenly covered the heavy raindrops above my head.

When I turned around, I saw a girl trying to stand on her tiptoes, raising her arm, holding up the umbrella for me.

She raised her head and smiled with her eyebrows curled up. Her small round face that was surrounded by the water droplets on this rainy day reminded me a lot of a small puppy.

I wanted to refuse, but she suddenly took my arm and ran forward: “Don’t stand there all dazed, run.”

Just like this, a strange girl and I were galloping in the rain.

In fact, the rain was very heavy, the existence of that umbrella had long been meaningless, but I still ran with her.

She sent me all the way to my dormitory and waved to me: “Goodbye classmate.” Then she turned and ran into the rain without looking back, until she disappeared from my sight.

It wasn’t until the rain stopped that I realized I didn’t ask her for her name.

I felt a little regretful.

But I met her again soon, in the self-study classroom of the Mingde Building.

We were nearing the end of the semester, she was crying while reading, crying to the extent that her glasses were foggy, and she would wipe them clean and then continue on crying. She cried so much that her eyes were watery and the tip of her nose was red.

But I didn’t know why she was crying so sadly.

Was she heartbroken?

For several days in a row, I went to that classroom and waited for her there.

She would still cry, she seemed to be badly hurt, as if she hadn’t come out of her grief yet.

I really wanted her contact information, but I resisted it. I didn’t want to take advantage of her being heartbroken.

But I knew her name without much effort – Cui Yingying.

A name as cute as herself.

In the summer vacation at the end of my freshman year, I raised a little puppy.

When it rubbed its head against the palm of my hand, I couldn’t help but think of Cui Yingying.

After the sophomore year began, I began to approach her intentionally.

Every time she volunteered, as long as she signed up, I would follow.

I didn’t know if it was because there were too many people volunteering, she never noticed me, only working attentively on her own. She was so small and short, but she had a lot of strength.

I admit that I am not an assertive person, and I wasn’t sure if she had really let go of her previous relationship.

But my eyes couldn’t help but look for her in the crowd.

She seemed to be losing weight, she was exercising every day.

But she was not fat at all, what a little fool.

Before I knew it, the sports field became my most frequented place.

Once, when I passed her and a few girls, I vaguely heard them discussing swimming.

My heart jumped, and personally, I was a little…um… curious about how she would look in a swimsuit.

It just so happened that Ji Chao asked me to go to the swimming hall with him.

So I went.

However, after swimming for almost a week, she did not come.

I clearly remember that it was a Tuesday, I had made up my mind to not go to the swimming hall anymore after today.

After coming out of the pool, Ji Chao chased after me and asked, “Qiaowei, do you want to have dinner together tonight?”

I shook my head: “No, I still have classes to prepare for.”

Then, I walked into the locker room and saw Cui Yingying.

I felt my heart skip a beat.

A few boys dragged me out and confirmed again and again, before standing at the door shouting: “Classmate, you went into the wrong locker room. This is the men’s locker room.”

She was like a frightened little puppy, she ran out of the locker room, lowered her head and apologized repeatedly.

I looked at her flee, and couldn’t help but laugh.

What a little fool.

However, when I was changing my clothes, I discovered that my underwear was missing.

Ji Chao looked at my startled expression and squeezed over to ask me, “Qiaowei, what’s the matter?”

I subconsciously replied: “My underwear is gone.”

Unexpectedly, Ji Chao immediately thought: “Did the girl just then take it?”

I frowned: “Don’t talk nonsense.”

But I didn’t expect Ji Chao to put this matter up on the confession wall.

I didn’t know what Ji Chao had done until someone added me on WeChat and said that their friend had picked up my underwear.

But I guess I should thank Ji Chao, because Cui Yingying, this little fool, had no talent for acting at all.

How should I get along with her?

How about, I’ll pretend I just met her.

Her way of trying to conceal the fact that she took my underwear was really cute.

I asked her to meet in our common required class.

After class, I saw her take out a small cloth bag and hurriedly hide it under the book after her friend came back to talk to her.

My underwear was probably in there.

Cui Yingying took her friend out of the classroom through the front door.

I stood up, walked slowly towards her seat, casually took the small cloth bag, and walked out through the back door.

Coincidentally, a cleaning lady was pushing a cleaning cart while passing by.

I walked over and threw the thing inside.

The auntie asked me: “Classmate, that thing doesn’t look like garbage, is it important?”

I shook my head.

The thing was not important, but it was important for me to not have it.

I’ll let that little fool owe me a favor.

What should I do, I seemed to have fallen for her after-all?

I’ll set up a trap.

And then, I will step into her heart bit by bit from now onwards.
