Calum grabbed his keys, phone, and wallet before heading out, words circling around his head as he tried to think about what he was going to say.

He had it all planned out; it was simple. They weren't that close, it wouldn't be as big of a deal as Calum was working it up in his head. His anxiety had that side effect, he often built things to be a Huge Deal when they really weren't. He knew he did it, but he couldn't stop it. Something seemingly simple could take him hours to do because he had to get over his head first.

He was on autopilot as he drove the ten minutes to Luke's house. He hadn't wanted to accept the invitation, but he figured he owed it to all of them to tell them what he was going to be doing. He didn't think they'd care that much, but Calum was going to learn just how wrong he could be.

It took him a couple of minutes of pep talking himself to get out of his car and walk up to the front door. It was quickly opened before he even knocked. Hecould imagine Luke just waiting by the door, having seen him pull into the driveway minutes earlier and wanting to come get him. He appreciated the fact that the man let him take his time and go at his own pace.

"Cally! So good to see you," Luke smiled, greeting him with open arms, but making no move to touch him. Calum smiled back, walking inside and hugging him. Luke shut the door, gesturing for him to go inside.

"Wow, you look nice," Calum commented, noticing Luke's fancy blue sweater and jeans. The blue matched his eyes, making them almost glow in the fading sunlight. He ducked his head and smiled.

    "Thank you, so do you,"

Calum resisted the urge to scoff. He was wearing a striped shirt and black jeans with a green hoodie, nothing crazy. His hair was a curly mess and he had bags under his eyes. He didn't look nice.

"The boys are in the kitchen getting dinner together, do you want to go see them?"

"Sure," Calum followed behind Luke to the kitchen, where Michael was hanging on Ashton's neck and laughing as the man pretended to be frustrated with him.

"If you want me to get the milk, you need to let me go,"

"Noo, you need to take me with you," Michael whined, allowing Ashton to take exaggerated steps and drag him along. "Oh, hey Cal! Didn't realize you'd gotten here,"

"He just stepped in," Luke informed. "Dinner should be ready soon, Cal, so we can just hang out until these idiots stop fooling around long enough to make us something,"

Calum laughed at their antics, sitting down on the stool and watching Ashton pour the milk into the pot with Michael still was wrapped around him, commanding things for him to do.

"So how was your day off today, Cal?" Luke asked, sitting down next to him.

"Not too bad, I didn't wake up till almost ten," He confessed sheepishly. He doesn't usually sleep in like that, but he'd been up the night before planning what he was going to say to them, and his body just hadn't wanted to wake up.

Michael scoffed, letting go of Ashton for just a second, allowing the man to break free. He danced away, stirring the pot without his leech. Michael frowned, but looked at Calum.

"That's amateur time. I didn't get up till 2 today,"

    Calum blinked in shock.

    Luke laughed.

"It's true, we slept till 11," he pointed between himself and Ashton, "But Mikey did stay in bed till 2. That's a common occurrence,"

"Wow. Impressive," he said to the man who was trying to get close to Ashton again. He was getting held back by a wooden spoon that was being waved around to keep him back.
