"Lukey, hurry!" Michael called, waiting impatiently for the blonde to catch up.

"You've got the longest legs, baby, why don't you use them?" Ashton teased, grabbing Luke's hand as soon as he was close enough, clasping his raised middle finger in his large hand.

"Shut up, this is more exercise than I'm used to," Luke panted, not expecting date night to take place at the top of a literal mountain.

"We gotta work on your cardio a bit, babe. If you can't keep up, we should improve your stamina," Luke flushed at Ashton's suggestive words, scowling when Michael laughed as he ran ahead.

Luke only stuck his tongue out, happy that Ashton was hanging back with him. Michael had gone farther, holding a basket and a blanket and when he found 'the perfect spot' he started getting ready whilst Luke and Ash leisurely made their way to him.

"Took you long enough," the bleach blonde grumbled, already having opened one of the containers of food.

"We're here now, love, so let's just enjoy our time, yeah?" Ashton shook his head fondly. He knew if he let Michael continue, he and Luke would start fighting and he didn't want their night to be ruined before it started.

Michael leaned over the basket and kissed Luke's cheek, causing a light blush to coat his face.

"What did you make, Mikey?" Luke asked, digging into the basket. He was starving after all they had to do to get here, but it was worth it. Michael pulled out a bunch of containers with a grin, spreading them out on the blanket.

The three were sitting on a classic picnic blanket that Luke had no idea where they'd gotten; it was red and white checkered with the tan basket sat on top of the grassy area. They were far enough from the edge of the cliff that they didn't need to worry about falling, but the view was incredible.

Mountains and hills tumbled in the distance, the leaves just beginning to grow back on the trees in the early spring weather. It was a comfortably warm day in the first week of April, so Michael had decided they needed to get outside.

"It's so pretty here," Luke muttered, watching a couple birds fly over the valley and land in some nearby trees.

"You're so pretty here," Ashton countered, winking as Luke brought his sweater covered hands to his face.

"Stop, you're embarrassing me," he whined, covering his eyes. Michael and Ashton laughed, Ashton pulling the blushing boy into his chest.

"Babe, we've been dating for years, and you still get funny when we compliment you," Ashton pressed little kisses into Luke's golden curls, secretly happy with the way Luke squirmed onto his lap.

"You do it so much, but I..."

Ashton hugged him close. Luke was very shy and self conscious. After spending time with the others, he'd gotten much more confident, but still had his moments of doubt.

"It's okay, sweetheart," Michael scooted closer, coming over and snuggling up to his other side. "When you can't realise how amazing you are, we will. That's what we're here for,"

"We're your number one fan club," Ashton laughed at Luke's blush.

"Whatever, okay. Can we eat now?"

Ashton and Michael shared a look, but they nodded. They wanted Luke to realise how great he was, but it was clear he was getting uncomfortable and that's not what they wanted.

"Whatever you want, babycakes. I made all sorts of little appetisers: some quiche bites, mini sandwiches, little pizza bites," Michael pulled out more containers than Ashton thought could fit in the medium sized basket. "And," with a grin and a flourish, he produced a bottle of champagne. "Tonight, we celebrate,"
