The beep of Ahsoka Tano's chrono startled her awake, causing her to practically jump out of her skin. She looked around wildly with large eyes, then slowly calmed down when she realized her dream wasn't real. The padawan gave a long sigh and stood up, stretching and walking to her 'fresher to get ready for the day.

She'd had yet another dream about her master; she had shown up late to a sparring session and he had been less than pleased. His unwavering, intimidating scowl seared itself in Ahsoka's mind, and although she had been training under Pong Krell for almost two entire years now her hands still shook slightly whenever she thought about displeasing him.

Ahsoka slipped on her clothes, a tube top, skirt, and pants, but then frowned in the mirror when she realized the cuts and bruises on her abdomen were visible. She pulled a tank top over the tube top and examined herself, anxious eyes darting up and down in search of any visible wounds. The girl didn't even dare to think of what Master Krell would do to her if she walked around the star cruiser with her wounds out in the open.

The padawan took a moment, stopping at her door and shaking her hands out to try to alleviate her anxious energy, before taking another deep breath and walking outside. She gave curt and short nods to the troopers that passed her, and they nodded back. This was the limit of their interactions; Ahsoka wasn't sure she'd spoken more than a few words to her master's battalion other than ushering commands and orders. According to Master Krell, clones were only soldiers and nothing more, so Ahsoka didn't feel the need to speak to them more than she already did.

The young girl reached the entrance to the bridge and approached her master with hands clasped behind her back in respect. The intimidating Besalisk had one pair of hands clasped in front and one behind, and he gave no indication of Ahsoka's presence until he spoke. "I assume your rest was well-deserved?" He asked in a deep, booming voice that never ceased to rattle Ahsoka's bones.

Ahsoka cleared her throat. "Yes, Master. I trained for two hours beforehand."

Master Krell had a rule that Ahsoka could only sleep during mission time if she had worked doubly hard that day, so two hours of training meant one hour of sleep. Of course, every now and then he let her sleep a full night if he knew she was too exhausted to be useful.

Now the Besalisk turned, a grim expression on his face. Ahsoka's stomach turned. "Master?" She asked hesitantly. "Is everything alright?"

"It appears our siege on Felucia was not as successful as I had hoped." The master declared gruffly, walking at a speed just fast enough that Ahsoka had to slightly jog to keep up with him. She swallowed hard; this mission was one of the first times she had been assigned a solo battalion, and her inexperience had gotten a lot of troops killed but, more importantly, it meant she had failed. Which meant her master was not pleased.

"I apologize, Master. The droids overrun us and I didn't see it coming, I-"

As soon as they entered a small hall away from the bridge Krell grabbed Ahsoka's arm and yanked her close to him, and she winced and braced for impact.

And impact he did, right on her lekku. Ahsoka gasped and stumbled back, clutching her head where her already sensitive right lekku began to throb lightly. She knew from past experience it was best to not move afterwards, as her echolocative abilities and balance were hindered for a moment. Instead she just cradled the small, growing lekku and looked up at her master through eyes shrouded with fear.

"You do not apologize to me, girl." Krell hissed. "Instead of apologizing you should have never been so careless in the first place. You are reckless and foolish, and your punishment will be swift."

But then her master appeared to calm down, reeling himself back in behind that cool but gruff mask he wore. "However, because we are returning to the Temple I will have to take more... Creative measures to ensure that your mistake will never occur again."
