Anakin stared out into the sky, arms crossed, as he stood front and center on the bridge. He always enjoyed watching the first liftoff and jump into hyperspace, and as the Resolute fully exited Coruscant's atmosphere he observed the clones preparing to jump. His eyes diverted back to the stars outside, hearing an officer declare to Admiral Yularen that they were ready. Yularen gave the command, and after a few seconds of prepping the ship shot into space, the stars becoming dizzyingly fast streaks around them.

The admiral and Jedi exchanged words regarding their mission, then Anakin exited the bridge to rest up before they landed. Ahsoka was finishing up one last bacta soak to fully rid herself of any remaining injuries from her tumultuous few weeks, and he caught her exiting the tube just as he walked into their shared quarters.

"How are you feeling?" He asked as Ahsoka toweled her face off. "We just jumped into hyperspace. According to Admiral Yularen we should be there within the day."

"Like brand new, Master." Ahsoka declared with a smile, hopping up into her sleeping alcove and letting her legs dangle over the side.

"Good." Anakin leaned against the wall, looking over at her from across the small room. "You're gonna need all the strength you can get; reports show that Separatist forces are moving quickly to reclaim the land they've already lost. It's not gonna be an easy fight."

"Is Master Fisto alright?" Ahsoka asked with a worried frown. The new duo hadn't known where they were shipping out until a few hours before doing so, with orders from the Council to provide backup for a campaign on Agamar lead by Master Fisto in an attempt to regain the planet from the Separatists.

"As far as we know he's fine, just running low on support." Anakin sat in his alcove as well. "I've told the boys they need to rest up, and now I'm gonna tell you the same thing. Because once we get there, it's going to be an all-out battle until there is a winning side which doesn't leave much room for sleep."

The padawan nodded, biting back a retort that this wasn't her first fight. "Well, I wish I hadn't just done a bacta soak because now I feel like I could jump off of the walls." She griped lightly, laying back with a sigh.

Anakin chuckled. "Trust me, with everything you've been through the past few weeks I bet it won't be hard for you to fall asleep."

"We'll see."

Within ten minutes Ahsoka was out much to Anakin's amusement. He stared up at the ceiling and willed sleep to come while simultaneously wishing he could talk to Padmé even though he'd seen her just yesterday. They'd exchanged their goodbyes and Anakin had walked away, which was always the hardest part. If he thought about it too long he'd start wondering if he'd ever see her again, which was why he never thought about it too long.

He allowed his eyes to close with a small sigh, and he must have drifted off at some point because he was harshly awoken by a loud fearful gasp from Ahsoka. They both sat upright with wide eyes, Anakin's staring at Ahsoka worriedly while Ahsoka's stared through the wall with haggard breathing.

The Jedi was hit with a pang of familiarity much like the first time he'd caught her in a nightmare; fortunately his were better now than they'd ever been, but he definitely remembered the worse ones. He had a feeling they'd stick with him forever, just like hers would probably stick with her forever as well.

"...Ahsoka?"

The padawan practically jumped out of her skin despite Anakin's gentle voice, her head whipping towards him. But once they locked eyes she calmed down a bit, apparently coming back to herself. After a few moments she sighed and shook her head in frustration. "Sorry." She muttered, laying back down with an oomph.

"For what?"

"I assume I woke you up?"

Anakin shrugged lightheartedly. "Eh, I was already half-awake." He lied, standing up with a stretch. "Let's go see how we're faring."

Ahsoka said nothing but followed behind obediently, and Anakin partly wished he could pull her out of ruminating over whatever she'd witnessed in her sleep, but he knew better than to believe that would work. He knew from experience that the only way to snap her out of it was to distract, and distract he would.

The Jedi and his new padawan entered the bridge, noticing that the Resolute had dropped out of hyperspace and was now overlooking Agamar from afar. "Admiral." Anakin greeted. "How are things looking down there?"

"We've been in brief and choppy contact with General Fisto's men." Yularen declared. "With our shaky connection, we were able to determine that the forces have a safe base camp and obtain the coordinates."

"Good. Have the gunships drop there." Anakin started heading towards the hangar. "Come on, Ahsoka."

Ahsoka startled out of staring at the planet and rushed to follow her master. He gave her a small glance. "Do you remember what your nickname for me was when you were drugged up?"

The padawan gave him a confused but amused frown. "No, what?"

"Skyguy."

Ahsoka gave a surprised laugh. "Hm. I like it."

"Well you should, you came up with it."

The padawan winced lightly. "Yeah... I was pretty out of it, wasn't I?"

Anakin gave her a large nod and she laughed. The two continued in silence until they reached the hangar and boarded their specified gunship, and once Anakin was done briefing the men Ahsoka glanced up at him with a teasing smile. "Well, what's my nickname?"

"What?"

"I gave you one, it's only fair I have one too."

The Jedi frowned and narrowed his eyes, thinking. "I'll, uh... I'll find one eventually."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes but laughed, and as the two rose up and out of the hangar and into the stars to face their very first battle as a team, all fears and doubts of their match were dissuaded temporarily. They had a job to do, and they'd do it together.

The padawan looked up at her new master with a small smile as they sped towards the planet, focused on the mission but simultaneously glad she was here. Her old master was in a detainment center on Coruscant, which was where he belonged after everything he'd done against the Republic. Against her. She still shuddered to think about it all, but whenever she looked up at Anakin and around her at the troops she actually knew the names of, the memories all faded away, eager to be replaced by new and improved ones.

She couldn't wait to see what came next.

OMG ITS DONE FINALLY WOOOOOO

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! I love this book so much and it's my first ever completed book that could be a standalone. It's so cute and small and fun :))

I really enjoyed writing Anakin and Ahsoka's characters, they're two that I haven't really focused on before because if you know me as a writer then you know I've only ever really written about the OT. But this was super SUPER fun and definitely an era I will be focusing more on in the future!!

Anyways, that's it for now! Thank you for being with me on this journey as we wrap up Ahsoka Tano - Undeserving. If you're in the mood for any other books of mine, feel free to check out my main series Heirs of the Fallen or Luke and Leia - Twins. I'm also working on another one-off book called Twisted Fate that you should feel free to check out. I would be interested in doing a sequel for this book to explore Anakin and Ahsoka's dual relationship with trauma and how they get through it all together, but I also believe that this book is fine where it is so I guess we'll see whether or not that happens.

Until next time!!

Nelgiz :)
