Ahsoka was floating in a warm pool, the sunlight on her face. She sighed and let all tension release from her body, feeling it seep out into the water and drain away into oblivion. A small smile graced her face; she was safe here.
A soft hum began in her ears, sounding like a sort of lullaby to soothe her into sleep. For awhile Ahsoka complied, but as the lullaby continued it began to warp into something that sounded even familiar, as if someone was talking to her from underwater. The water grew cold and unforgiving, and the sunlight faded as dark clouds began obscuring it. Ahsoka shivered, then felt a jolt of pain in her left side as she did so. What...?
Ahsoka didn't come to fully until a small piece of rubble broke loose and landed on her head. Her eyes popped open and she gasped, letting out a cough but gasping as the pain grew more pronounced from her side. Her vision was still fuzzy for a moment but quickly cleared, nevertheless her limbs felt heavy and uncoordinated. "Ugh..." She groaned softly, still hearing the underwater voice but not quite sure where it was coming from until it broke the surface of her unfocused hearing.
"Ahsoka! Hey!" Came a strained voice from her left. Ahsoka turned her head with some difficulty to see a gloved hand protruding from a small hole within the rubble and reaching for her.
"I'm-" Ahsoka started, but was then racked with coughs that made her side hurt even worse. "I'm here!"
Through the Force she could feel a massive wave of happiness from Anakin. "Okay, good." He replied, breathless with either relief or because of injury. "Take it easy, you were out for awhile."
"Okay." Ahsoka answered, a bit breathless herself. It was as if with each breath she took, it became harder and harder to fill her lung capacity completely.
"Are you alright?"
"I think so. Are you?"
"Yeah. I got lucky, just a few scratches and one laceration but I was mobile enough to suppress the bleeding." Anakin maneuvered himself so that he was looking at her. From what he'd been able to observe from his own surroundings, he was currently trapped by a chunk of the floor above him but that chunk had been stopped by a now severely bent doorframe, which was the only thing preventing him from being crushed to death. Fortunately he could roll and twist within his limited space, but he chose to use caution. He'd rather not cause another minor collapse.
He'd regained consciousness quickly after the explosion and was still shaking the ringing out of his ears, but he had his wits about him enough to contact Captain Rex. The captain was overjoyed to hear his voice and told him help was on the way already, which Anakin was grateful to hear. He had then spent the next amount of time calling for Ahsoka and hoping for an answer.
The lighting was dim and gray, given to them only by sunlight filtered through the cracks in the rubble above them, but with it Anakin could see further to his right. Ahsoka appeared to be trapped by an entire floor similar to him, only her head still being visible to him. He winced lightly, suppressing the dread and fear that immediately surfaced. "Can you move at all?" He called to her.
Ahsoka tried moving a little bit, starting with her fingers and toes as she was trained to do. Then arms and legs. Then torso... She cried out in pain when she tried to move her waist, a sharp violent pain that took her breath away stabbing her in her side.
"What? What's wrong?"
The kid didn't answer because she didn't have an answer, instead choosing to search for it silently. She was trapped under a piece of flooring, but didn't feel it very harshly on top of her which was good. Because of this she could move her arms up and down her body, and hissed harshly when her left arm collided with a small durasteel pipe of some sorts. She followed it up to see that it was part of the reason why she wasn't crushed by the floor above her, then followed it down to feel... Her own skin, wet. Ahsoka's eyes went round as she connected the dots: the pool she felt earlier wasn't water, Force, it was blood. Her blood.
