⚠️Death note/telling someone to off themself.⚠️
-
Bokuto was one of the most confident people you could find at Fukurodani. He was confident in everything, sometimes he wasn't as confident, but nonetheless, confident.
So, when he stopped eating as much and focused on his body more, it confused Akaashi, it was like he was insecure? Bokuto. Insecure. Akaashi was flabbergasted.
It started to bother Akaashi even more when his boyfriend would start distant himself. Or even change before or after the rest of the team.
-
"Hey, Bokuto-san. I remember you telling me you keep forgetting to make lunch, so I made some for you." Akaashi handed a bento box to him.
Something in Bokuto's eyes lit up, but then he looked sad again. It was like Akaashi got stabbed in the heart, he hated to see his lover sad.
"I'm not really hungry..." Bokuto handed the small box back, and sat down next to Akaashi.
"Are you sure? I don't recall you eating breakfast either."
"I'm sure."
Akaashi gave a small nod and started to eat. Bokuto laid his head on Akaashi's shoulder.
-
The same thing went on for weeks, almost a whole month. Things didn't necessarily get worse, but they sure as hell wasn't getting better. Akaashi had yet to figure out what was causing the sudden change.
That was until he saw some random boy push a note in Bokuto's locker. Akaashi swore he could recall seeing that same boy in his and Bokuto's class. Might have even saw him a few times at their games.
Akaashi shook off the thought and quickly opened the locker, and read the note.
"Guys like you don't get girlfriend's, maybe that's why you only hang around guys.
You're too fat. Though I did notice you start to lose weight, you need to lose more.
Maybe you should just kill yourself already. Nobody really likes you."
Akaashi was in utter disbelief. Some random kid was harassing Bokuto, his Bokuto? It made Akaashi mad, over the moon mad. Why hadn't Bokuto told him?
Akaashi stuffed the note in his bag and put it in his locker.
Bokuto walked over to Akaashi, they exchanged good mornings. Bokuto opened his locker and visually relaxed, and going to stuff his bag in the locker.
"Hey... Bokuto-san?" Bokuto hummed, "You know you can talk to me about anything right? You're my boyfriend after all, I want to help you with anything."
Bokuto nodded before deciding to speak. "Well... I- hm, nevermind." Akaashi hoped Bokuto would tell him, but he still didn't push Bokuto into telling him anything. Not yet anyways, he needed more time before talking to Bokuto about it.
Bokuto leaned down to kiss Akaashi and then walked the smaller of the two, to class.
-
Akaashi had managed to get most of the notes that Bokuto received in the mornings. Each and every one of them mad him a different kind of upset, like commit a felony type upset. What person would want to hurt one of the nicest people on the planet?
Only scumbags would want to hurt somebody.
Akaashi had seen enough of the notes and wanted to confront Bokuto, then the boy that was giving him the notes. Akaashi had already told Bokuto they needed to talk.
The way Akaashi said it made him nervous. Like more nervous than a match with his best bro; Kuroo and those matches always made him nervous.
Bokuto was basically jumping out of his shoes when they had got to Akaashi's house. Bokuto wished with every muscle in his body that Akaashi wasn't gonna break up with him.
The two slid off their shoes and sat down across from each other. Akaashi had reached in his bag and pulled out a stack of papers, stapled together.
The second Bokuto saw them he almost broke down, right then and there.
"I'm sorry Akaashi! I've just been getting really mean letters and I didn't want to worry you. But-but they started to get too much. I thought they stopped, but you've just been taking them! I didn't think they would get as bad as they did, but they did and it made me really sad." Bokuto rambled.
Akaashi sat and listened, letting Bokuto let out all of the negative emotions.
"You shouldn't believe these stupid letters. You're perfect the way you are. The guy putting them in your locker is probably insecure and is taking it out on you. You shouldn't let anyone get you down.... Do you want to confront him tomorrow morning?"
Bokuto thought about it for a second, then nodded. He felt relieved to finally get that off his chest. Bokuto would never admit it out aloud to anyone except Akaashi, but the constant notes about his body and telling him to off himself were getting overwhelming.
Bokuto walked over to Akaashi and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist.
"I love you, Kaashi."
"I love you, too."
-
Today Akaashi and Bokuto got to to the locker first as planned. They were way earlier than intended, but at least that gave Bokuto time to calm his nerves.
Almost 20 minutes later, that same boy was sneaking up to slip a note in Bokuto's locker.
"Hey! Yeah, you! Come here." Akaashi pointed directly at the boy, he looked around then slowly walked over to them.
"What's your issue? Why are you harassing Bokuto-san?"
"I- well- uhm- I don't know..."
"Yeah, you don't even have a reason. So, cut it out." Akaashi didn't mean to sound as harsh as he did, but it still got the point across.
"O-okay... Sir..?" The boy bowed and ran, trashing the note on his way out.
Akaashi sighed, then smiled. He turned around to face his boyfriend, who was shocked, bamboozled might I say.
"Keiji, I didn't expect you to be so... So- what's the word?" Bokuto snapped his fingers trying to find the right word. "Defensive! Yeah, defensive. You're usually like laid back chill, but you just like scared off someone." Bokuto started rambling again. He was amazed, astonished.
Akaashi didn't think he could fall in love more than once with someone, but Bokuto always managed to prove him wrong. Bokuto was the person he never knew he needed, until he had him.
"Maybe it's just because I love you and hate to see you upset?" Bokuto's face flushed red and he cover his face.
"Keiji, you can't just say stuff like that"
"Why not? You always do."
"It's different when I do it." Akaashi lauughed and kissed his boyfriend.
"Come on, let's put our stuff up and go to class."
With that they left to go to class, hand in hand, and a smile on both of their faces.
