I'm officially back??
Aged up

"Akaashi?" Bokuto said, the two of them stopping right in front of the door to Akaashi's class. Akaashi stopped, his hand on the door knob, Kenma bumped into him. The late bell had already rang, so they didn't make any effort to get to class, since they were already late anyways.

"Sorry," Kenma mumbled, looking up from his phone for a second. Kenma stood next to Akaashi, not making an effort to go into the classroom unless Akaashi went with him.

"Can I talk to you..." Bokuto looked at Kenma, then back at Akaashi, "Alone?"

"Ken, I'll there in a second... Go save me a seat." Akaashi said, opening the door for Kenma. Kenma only hummed, waking into the classroom and going to his seat, saving a seat for his friend. Akaashi watched Kenma for a second before focusing his attention back on Bokuto.

"Okay, I- uhm... Will you uh..." Bokuto stuttered, trying to get the words out, "Will you... Will you be my boyfriend?" His ears started to turn red, feeling nervous.

Akaashi lips turned upwards, a small smile on his face. A quiet, yes, was the only word he could get out before being pulled into a hug. Akaashi didn't pull away, he just... let it happen. Bokuto pulled away first, saying his goodbye to Akaashi before leaving to go to class.

Akaashi stood with his hand on the door knob, again, this time just for a second before turning to go into the class. He walked over to the seat Kenma saved him, placing his stuff on the desk and sitting down.

"So?" Kenma said, not looking up from his worksheet. When Akaashi didn't say anything, Kenma lightly poked him on the shoulder with his pen. "What happened?" He asked in his usual quiet tone.

"Oh, yeah. He just asked me to be his boyfriend." Akaashi said with a shrug, seemingly unbothered by the whole thing. Akaashi took out his notes, starting to do his worksheet. "Kenma, for number one, you're using the work formula." Akaashi pointed out the formula he should be using.

"Do you... not care? Y'know... like being his boyfriend?" Kenma started to erase the work that was wrong. Akaashi shrugged, jotting down an answer.

"I don't, not care, but I'm not overjoyed... That's normal, right?" Kenma only hummed, continuing his work while occasionally helping or receiving help from Akaashi.

That was four months ago. Now, to the current time.

"Kenma, what do I do?!" Akaashi complained with a slightly panicked expression. He was currently pacing around his and Kenma's shared dorm room.

"I-I don't know, Keiji. Just tell him, I literally just came out to Tetsu when I found out I was asexual. Just tell him you're on the aromatic spectrum, it's nothing special."

"But I don't know if I am."

"Keiji! You literally- you literally just explained how you feel and it's aromatic. You don't feel romantic attractive, you feel uncomfortable doing anything that has romantic intent, you can't even tell if what you feel is romantic or platonic." Kenma stated, pausing his game and looking up at Akaashi.

"Yeah, but-" Before Akaashi could finish that sentence, Kenma cut him off.

"No, buts. You have to tell him, even if you're confused or whatever. You can't just continue like this, Keiji, you're uncomfortable and he'll be hurt by it."

"I- okay. Uh, how do I tell him..? How did you tell Kuroo?"

Flashback

Kenma sat there, his body tense as Kuroo's hands moved up and down the sides of his body. Light kisses were placed on his neck as he just sat there. His stomach turned a little, feeling uncomfortable with the whole thing. He didn't speak up, deciding if his boyfriend is happy, he's happy.

Kuroo obviously noticed and stopped what he was doing. "Kenma... Am I- Am I doing something wrong..?"

"No... I just..." Kenma stopped, staring at a place on the wall, not wanting to have this conversation.

"You can tell me, Kenma. I would never do anything you don't want."

"I know and I trust you. I just-" Kenma sat up on the bed. Kuroo taking a place next to him, facing in his direction. "I think I'm on the asexual spectrum. I'm just not interested in sex, but I do really like you! I want to date you and I understand if you want to break up because of it and-"

Kuroo cut off Kenma's rambling before it got worse, "Kenma, I understand if that's not what you're into. I love you no matter what. How about we go and play mario kart or something?"

End of Flashback

"That's basically what happened." Kenma said shrugging, well back into his game.

"Okay, okay, so I'll tell him in person. Yeah... in person." Akaashi mumble, mainly to himself.

A week later...

"Have you told him yet?" Kenma asked, following behind Akaashi as they walked back to their dorm.

"I'm going to tell him today. I've already arranged for us to meet in the common room." Kenma nods at his sentence, not asking any follow up questions.

A few minutes later they arrive at their dorm. Akaashi opens the door, holding it open for Kenma. He places his bag on his desk chair.

"I'll be back." He says before leaving the room again.

Akaashi walks to the common room, anxiety eating him up inside. He walks in and scan the room for Bokuto, he spots him and walks over. Bokuto immediately notices him and smiles, Akaashi smiles back.

"What did you want to talk about?" Bokuto says, head tilted slightly.

Akaashi talks a deep breath before just spitting everything out, "Bokuto, we should break up. I fall under the aromantic umbrella, basically meaning I feel little to no romantic feelings. And I like you, just not in that way, and if you want we can still be friends." Akaashi says, just dropping everything on him.

Bokuto looked st him for a second before nodding. "That's okay, Akaashi. I understand you."

Akaashi's eyes widened, "You're not mad? We can still be friends?" He ask and to both his questions Bokuto nods. Akaashi let out a sigh of relief, feeling like a weight wad lifted off his back.

This was my aromantic experience. Not exactly like this, but based off of it.
