The pounding on his head was the first thing Taehyung had woken up to. As the pain continued to torture him, a sigh of regret left his lips.

"F-uck..."

He was greeted by the sun's rays that seeped through the slightly opened window of a room unfamiliar to him. In a brief moment of silence, realization dawned on him.

"Where—"

His musings were interrupted of a memory that hit him like a train, and all he could do was curse himself.

"Fucking idiot! What—what the fuck..."

A slap on the forehead could have snapped him from the truth, yet it only felt like he's having delusions.

"It can't be..."

Just in time, when he was in the midst of convincing himself, the door opened and came the person he had wished to be just a part of his dream.

Their eyes met, all the while Taehyung was holding his breath.

He fucked up.

He really fucked up.

Jungkook's presence right in front of him was the proof that he did— big time.

"I.. I'm sorry."

It was dumb, but those words were the only thing Taehyung could think of at that moment.

"Such an early time to be sorry, don't you think?"

Taehyung immediately looked at his clasped hands, unable to discern the emotion behind Jungkook's words.

"I should go. Sorry for the trouble I've caused."

He quickly jumped out of bed, only to realize he's barely dressed with just an oversized polo covering his nakedness.

His panicking eyes met Jungkook's own, and even before he could entertain the thoughts in his head, the other had shut him down completely.

"You threw up everywhere last night. I had your clothes washed."

"Oh— thank you."

As he stood unable to decide what to do, the awkward silence took the space between them.

Taehyung could feel the intense gaze of Jungkook in him while he tried collecting his things on the couch.

With his polo barely reaching the midst of his thighs, his honey colored legs were on sight, giving the other something to look at.

"So, you're leaving just like that?"

Taehyung halted, glancing over the ravenette whose face was void of any emotion.

"I.. I already said I'm sorry. If I ever caused you inconvenience, just tell me the amount of the damages. I'll pay—"

"Why did you do it?"

The question momentarily stopped Taehyung from breathing. As much as possible, he wanted to avoid this confrontation.

"I-I was drunk.. I couldn't remember calling you—"

"You know that's not what I'm asking about. Don't play dumb, Taehyung."

Jungkook's piercing gaze had Taehyung looking away. He felt so conflicted, the hangover not really helping.

All he wanted now was to vanish, so he wouldn't have to see Jungkook's anger once more.

"I'm sorry.." Taehyung mumbled as he let his body fall on the couch.

He's exhausted, too exhausted from everything.

"I'm really.. sorry." He repeated, tears blinding his eyes.
