Seventeen

Going back to school after what happened is the worst feeling Taehyung had experienced.

The incident had spread like wildfire after the blonde filed a complaint against Ji Hoon for attempted rape.

The university directors were able to get a hold of this information, immediately giving the right sanction of expelling him from school.

Ji Hoon had made legal violations by possessing harmful drugs and attempting sexual harm. He's been taken to police custody, facing the charges filed against him.

All throughout the legal process, Taehyung had received support from his best friend Jimin and his boyfriend Yoongi.

He's thankful that he had both of them to make sure that Ji Hoon gets what he deserves.

His charges were strengthened by Jungkook's statement as he served as his witness, to Taehyung's surprise.

The blonde didn't expect for the ravenette to also help him out and be there for him.

He couldn't believe that after all, Jungkook isn't that much of a jerk.

However, Jungkook hadn't shown up after he had given his official statement to the police.

If Taehyung was honest, he'd say he's a bit sad and disappointed that the ravenette didn't check on him after that.

He knows he's asking too much if he thought Jungkook would be there for him throughout, but his poor heart hoped.

"They're staring.." Taehyung uttered, lowering his head as both Jimin and him walked down the hallway.

"Don't mind them. They're just a bunch of idiots with nothing to do." Jimin said, voice loud and clear, making everyone turn their gaze away from them.

"Chim.." Taehyung panicked, not wanting to attract more attention.

"Hush, babe. Hold your head up. You're the victim here. You didn't do anything wrong so don't ever feel ashamed." Jimin lectured, tipping his chin up.

The blonde gulped, nodding his head a little as he looked straight ahead. He tried brushing off the stares he got from the other students, finally reaching their room.

It was a tough day for Taehyung as he sat silently during his lectures, feeling like he's being watched by scrutinizing eyes. He just wished the day will end, so he could finally go back in the comfort of his own home.

Lunchtime, Taehyung was forced by Jimin to eat in the cafeteria. He wasn't going to say yes in the first place but was immediately convinced when Jimin said that they'll eat with Yoongi.

If Yoongi's there, then Jungkook will also be there. Simple logic that made him say yes.

As soon as they entered the cafeteria, Taehyung had felt anxious once more. However, Jimin was there to make him feel safe and at ease.

They saw Yoongi sitting with the rest of his friends. Taehyung didn't pay much attention to them as he was busy looking for a certain ravenette.

However, to his dismay, Jungkook wasn't with them.

"Hey babe." Jimin possessively wrapped his arms around Yoongi. He gave him a peck on the cheek, making everyone in the table groan.

"Get a room!" Jackson grunted, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

Jimin childishly grimaced at the latter before taking the seat next to his boyfriend.

Taehyung smiled shyly, occupying the seat next to Jimin. He looked down on his hands, still feeling ashamed to face other people.

"We're sorry for what Ji Hoon did to you, Tae. We never thought that he's fucked up." Yugyeom said, smiling apologetically at the blonde who simply nodded his head.

"It's good that Jungkook was there to save my baby." Jimin uttered, turning towards Taehyung, cutely pressing their foreheads together.

Taehyung blushed, playfully pushing the latter.

"Yeah. He really did what's right regardless of the consequences." Jackson muttered, suddenly getting Taehyung's attention.

"What do you mean?" He asked, eyes on the taller male who seemed to be a bit taken aback.

"Uh.. nothing." Jackson muttered, avoiding his gaze.

Taehyung didn't buy it though. He roamed his eyes on the people around the table, but everyone seemed to be avoiding his eyes.

"Where's Jungkook?" Taehyung asked. Everyone's acting suspicious and it's making him anxious.

He turned his attention to Jimin when nobody answered his question.

"Chim.." He said in a firm voice that had the latter raising his head in a snap.

"Uh.. You see Tae.." Jimin started, hesitating to open his mouth and continue.

He waited patiently, feeling agitated by everyone's behavior.

"What are you hiding from me? Where's Jungkook?" Taehyung asked once more, boring his eyes on Yoongi who sighed in defeat.

"Fuck it."Yoongi muttered, annoyed.

"I promised him I won't say a word to you, but I think it's better for you to know." Yoongi said, looking at him in the eyes.

"He's suspended, Tae." Yoongi revealed, shocking the blonde.

"What?.." He asked, this information not really registering in his confused mind.

University only suspends or expels students if they have done something considered to be legal violations. Just like what Ji Hoon did which is punishable by law.

Why would Jungkook face suspension?

"Why?" He blurted out, unbelieving the words he's been hearing.

Yoongi shrugged his shoulders. "I guess you're unaware that the day after the incident you had with Ji Hoon, Jungkook went back at him."

The blonde couldn't comprehend what the other is trying to say.

"He went to his home and beat him to pulp. He was in total rage and almost killed the fucker." Yoongi said making Taehyung gasp in shock.

"He was charged of assault but his family was able to do something about it." Yoongi uttered in almost a whisper.

"We know Jungkook. He wouldn't have acted so careless and would've just let the police do their job without any reason. Ji Hoon might have done or said something that triggered his anger once more." Jackson added in a stern voice.

"Beating Ji Hoon during the actual attempt of harassing you isn't considered a violation. However, going after him in his home and almost killing him when there's already a case to be filed against him is another matter." Yugyeom explained.

"That fucker deserves it though. I would've killed him if it was me." Jimin gritted his teeth, seething in anger.

"It's good that the university only had given him suspension. It would've been worst if he got expelled as well." Jackson said.

Taehyung felt like crying. Jungkook does care for him.

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" Taehyung uttered in a whisper.

"He doesn't want you to know because he knew you would worry like this." Jimin said apologetically.

"When is he coming back?" Taehyung asked.

Yoongi looked away this time, lips tightly shut.

"I heard the suspension will only be for a month." Jimin answered, smiling at him.

Taehyung felt relieved. At least he wouldn't be out of school for too long.

Well that's what he thought.

A month had passed and Jungkook hasn't come back.
