The day I turned eighteen was the day I decayed just as I reached bloom. Summer arrived and I was not yet roots of a tree, yet a chainsaw awaited my growth. The value I perceived myself of, the value I was perceived of, was gone the day I reached the woman I have longed to be. The day the sun shined down on my fruit, I began to rot, because nobody wants me when I'm eighteen.
