I roll around in bed not wanting to get up. But then I hear someone clearing their throat and I bolt straight up.

Smiling back at me was a very pretty woman wearing what seemed to be one of my shirts. I blink. Why was there a woman in my room? Why was she wearing my shirt?

Was she the woman I was flirting with at the bar last night? What was her name again? Nim? Meem? Vim?

I rub my eyes. Trying to hide my surprise. How did she get here? I don't bring people home. And I sure as hell don't let people stay over.

"Uh hi," I manage to say. I am not eloquent before my morning coffee.

"You're awake!," Nim Meem Vim chirps. "I borrowed a shirt. I hope you don't mind."

Keep the shirt

Keep the shirt. I mind that you're here. That's what I wanted to say but I didn't want to be slapped. I also didn't want anyone in my room. What the hell did you do last night Metawin?

The awkward silence was stretching on far too long for my liking. I decide to just be that asshole. "So, I obviously had too much to drink last night. And I am a giant jerk for asking this but may I ask uh how we ended up back here?"

Nim Meem Vim smiles. "You're a hero not a jerk. You saved me actually. I had a little too much to drink and a group of boys were getting too handsy. And you whisked me away."

"I hope we didn't drive," I say, trying to piece my memories back together.

"Your friend drove us. She has a cool car."

That's the moment I realize this wasn't my room. My brain fully wakes up and realizes the bedsheets were pink and the walls were covered in a floral cream and gold wallpaper.

Nim Meem Vim saunters over and plops down right beside me. She begins to play with the neckline of her shirt. "You know, I never did get to reward you for saving me."

Woman. I am in a room I don't recognize. My head is throbbing. And I don't know who you are. This is not conducive to whatever it is you want to happen.

I try to inch away from her.

But she leans her whole body forward. "I give very good...rewards you know?"

I feel myself start to panic.
This cannot be real right? This is some alcohol fueled dream?

Wake up Win! Wake up!

Nim Meem Vim takes my shallow breathing as a cue that I am into whatever the hell she plans on doing. She starts to undo the buttons of my shirt while my brain repeatedly screams at my limbs to push her off.

"Cassandra!"

The name is said loud and deep like someone casting a curse.

This makes me and the woman both jump backwards in surprise.
