jacob's pov:
"uh jacob you okay? we're at the party now." y/n turned her head to look at me. fuck, i was day dreaming again.
"oh uhh..yeah i'm fine" i laughed as i scratched the back of my neck and settled back into reality.
"okay, braydon and lexi just went inside. are you ready to go?" y/n stared, her face blank but beautiful. i wanted nothing more than to just kiss her right then and there.
"yeah let's go." i awkwardly laughed, turning to open the passenger side door.

y/n's pov:
somethings wrong with jacob.
he's been so weird recently. he just fell asleep in the car and was shifting all over the place. at first i thought it might be a night mare but the smirk on his face throughout the whole thing said something different.
he must've just been dreaming about something fun...probably.
jacob and i walked into the party, the purple flashing lights blinding my eyes and the pungent smell of alcohol and vomit filled my nose.
i didn't even really know where i was, lexi said she knew the owner of the house but i couldn't find her anywhere. i didn't pay much attention to it, i just focused on having fun.
"hey jacob i'm gonna go grab a drink" i pointed towards the bar as i tapped jacob on the shoulder with my other hand.
"okay, i have to piss. stay safe and text me if you need anything. i'll be back in a few" he gave me a quick squeeze and began walking off in the other direction.
i walked over and sat down at the bar, swiveling around in the chair as i got comfortable.
"hey darling, what can i getcha?" a blonde, messy haired boy said to me as he leaned down on his elbow. inches away from my face.
"uh...hmm." i leaned to the left to view the drinks he had on tap and the alcohol bottles he had behind him. "i'll just have whatever is your favorite." i shrugged. normally jacob or braydon helped me order something. they had my order memorized, but i had no idea what it was called so i just decided to try something new.
"you sure can gorgeous." he winked as he grabbed a few bottles and a glass off the back counter, filling the glass up with ice.
i watched closely as he made my drink, jacob has always taught me that. just as he finished shaking the drink and pouring it back into the glass, i heard someone call my name.
"what's a girl like you doing all alone at the bar?" i heard a smirk through the deep voice. i kept looked down.
"i'm not alone. thanks though." i scooted towards the edge of my chair.
"hey, you don't have to be tense. i'm alone too." he took an uninvited seat next to me. "i'm alex." he stuck out his hand to shake mine.
i looked up at him. he was so dreamy. his eyes felt as if i were swimming in the ocean, his curls waving as they gently framed his face with the perfect bone structure.
"i'm y/n." i shook it back, still keeping eye contact.
"nice to meet you y/n, you from around here?" he asked as he put his hands on his lap.
"hey lovely here's that drink of yours. who's that?" he questioned, staring down alex.
"oh, uh. alex. just met him." i lightly laughed and i grabbed the drink and squeezed the lime inside.
i felt sort of uncomfortable, two random men were sitting around me and lexi, braydon, and jacob were nowhere in sight. i figured it was best if i at least attempt to look for them.
i searched around for jacob, slightly standing up so i could see over the crowd of people. he was nowhere to be found.
i turned back to face alex and grab my drink. i noticed right off the bat that the ice in my drink had sunk to the bottom and was no longer floating, but i figured it was fine and not to worry about it.
i took a sip of my drink, noticing through my peripheral vision that alex was staring at the drink as the glass touched my lips, smirking. it felt super awkward but i just figured he was intrigued.
"bleh that's sour." i wiped my lips and slid the drink to the edge of the counter.
"haha that's what most people say." alex laughed.
"how do you know what i ordered?" i questioned, looking over at him and scrunching my eyebrows.
"oh no i don't i'm just saying you know? like alcohol is like spicy or sour sometimes." he shrugged. instantly my head started throbbing.
"my head is killing me. i think i'm gonna go run to the ladies room quickly." i began to stand up, alex grabbing my wrist and pushing me back down.
"you're probably just drunk. don't leave me." alex demanded. i thought he was being sarcastic, but his face was completely emotionless.
"but how could i be drunk from one sip of alcohol? please let go of me i really should get going. someone's waiting for me." i tried to explain standing up once more, only to be shoved down again.
he stood over me, staring down at me as i felt like melting into my seat to get away from him.
"move another muscle and ill kill you." he gripped his pocket, the bulge of a pistol becoming apparent through the fabric.

my heart dropped. what the fuck am i supposed to do.

my head was continuing to throb, my vision fading in and out and i became exhausted. i didn't know what to do, i was fucking terrified.
"oh..okay." i stuttered, hiccuping and gripping at the sides of my arms. alcohol has never affected me like this and i knew something was wrong. i should've never trusted alex.
"i'm ordering a drink. if i turn around and you're gone i will find you. you understand?" he gritted through his teeth sitting back down in his chair to face the counter. the petrifying grin on his face fading back into his innocent smile.

i had to run

i ran.
