THE 72nd HUNGER GAMES

Chapter 1 - The reapings.

It was the day of the reapings in the city of Panem, there were 12 districts, and a capital, each year the districts each had to send forward a male and female trubute to compete in the hunger games, the way to find out whothe tributes are is by having a reaping, the name of every boy aged between 12 and 18 in a district is put in a glass bowl, and the name pulled out is the tribute, the same goes for the girls. In the reapings, after names have been taken out another boy or girl may volunteer as tribute, and they take the former tributes place, in some districts becoming a tribute was an honour, mostly districts 1, 2, and 4, but for others such as 10, 11, and 12, it is a hardship, a tragedy. 24 tributes enter the arena, only 1 leaves, it is a fight to the death, eith only 1 winner.
This year is the 72nd hunger games, and the reapings are about to begin, they are all broadcasted live to the capital. First the children must get ready and sign up, every child must sign up, or else. Then the reapings themselves begin. First from district one, the girl is 17 year old Ellie Rae, and the boy going with her is 18 year old Danny Penman, both volunteers.
District 2 follows with 17 year old Beth Hartley, and 17 year old Hamish Han, also volunteers. Then it's Bonnie Chen, 15, and Forbes Prentice, 17 from district 3. District 4 is Lucy Ruuskannen, 14, and Marcus Walker, 14. 5 is Shakira Seggella-Humbert, 15, and Beau Fulcher 18. 6 is Maddy Mackay, 16 and Josh Currie, 17. Then comes Melissa and Xander from 7, Kelsie and Lewis from 8, Corie and Damien from 9, Anakha and Mitchell from 10, Mika and Harry from 11, and finally Juliet and Daniel from district 12.
With the reapings over the tributes say their final goodbyes and get on a 200mph train to the capital where they get introduced to the training centre and their living quarters.
