The Demon Silblings||Demon Tanjiro + Nezuko Au [SEMI-HIATUS]

Beginning

"I'm Giyu Tomioka." I responded, "It is a pleasure to meet you." Tanjiro nodded. I sat back down this time closer to Tanjiro. "Do you know what happened?" I asked, he shook his head. "All I remember was trying to protect Nezuko from something." We sat in silence for a few moments. "I don't understand," he started, "Who are you, why do I feel different, what was happening to Nezuko?" Tanjiro was curling into a ball. I put my hand on his back, "I'll try to explain it as best I can." He came out of his ball a little.

"I am a demon slayer, you are now a demon, Nezuko was hungry because she had just become a demon and sought out food, also known as human." Tanjiro was in complete shock, "D-demon, Nezuko wanting to eat human?" He stuttered out his words, tears forming in his eyes. "Yes, calm down and I can tell you a bit more, however after that, I need to take you somewhere." He wiped the tears away, "I think I'm ready." I felt bad for the boy, so I gently moved him so he was laying on my lap. "I'll start with what a demon is. You both are man-eating demons. From the name you can tell that they eat humans. You must have been attacked by a demon who accidentally made you both demons. Nezuko tried to attack me because she was hungry. Which is natural, after someone becomes a demon they are very hungry." Tanjiro cut in, "Then why aren't I attacking you?" I shrugged, "I don't know, but for now that's enough. I need to get you somewhere before the clouds clear up. You demons are hurt by the sun." Tanjiro got off my lap.

"What about Nezuko?" he asked. I thought for a moment. "Do you know of anyone around here?" He nodded and pointed east, which just so happened to be where we were going. I picked up Nezuko and put her over my shoulders. I started walking however Tanjiro stopped me. "They're dead in there aren't they?" I didn't know how to answer the question so I just nodded. "Can we come back to bury them?" I nodded and started on my way again this time Tanjiro following.

It took us a while but eventually, we reached the people Tanjiro was talking about. "I need you two to stay back here, I'll be right back." Tanjiro nodded and I walked towards the people. "Hello sir, may I use that basket over there?" I asked pointing to a basket sitting by the side of the road. "Yes you may, it's full of holes so we do not need it." the man replied. I thanked him and picked up the basket. I went back over to where the siblings were. Nezuko seemed to be awake. I put down the basket and turned to Nezuko, "Can you fit in here?" She went into the basket and then she shrunk to fit into it. Tanjiro was taken aback, "huh? How did she do that?" I told Tanjiro it was probably part of her demon abilities. I put the basket on my back, "How fast can you go Tanjiro?" He shrugged. "Well try to keep up, consider it training." I took off with Tanjiro following close behind me.
