Breaking Dawn

Charlie was always someone who often made me laugh as soon as I read his mind. Was he playing a joke, or would he go through with his plan to have Bella's mother stop the entire wedding? Renee knew how much we adored one another but she had seen for herself just how much I loved Bella. Bella had shown her mother how perfect we were for one another. I knew that Renee would give anything for Bella's happiness and if that meant staying with me forever... then who was I to deny her anything?

"You know what Okay." Charlie spoke, still chuckling to himself. "You have my permission to get married." 

Lets see how they can talk themselves out of it. "But..." Charlie stopped mid sentence.

"Dad, what do you mean?" Bella asked.

Bella's small form once again began to shake uncontrollably as her father stopped his sentence. I had known that he was forcing Bella into speaking to Renee about our engagement, But I had known that Bella could stand up for herself. Bella was able to defend me in front of her own father just a few hours earlier. But I knew that Bella's mother would be over the moon once she found out about our engagement.

"But you are responsible for telling your Mother! I'm not dealing with Renee! You two are in charge of informing Renee about this!"

 Oh, man! I'm staying out of this! Bella's able to defend herself from Renee. Especially since Renee was against marrying me at first.

Bella's eyes widened in shock as her face turned pale at my suggestion. I was looking forward to revealing the news to Renee with Bella by my side, I grabbed Bella's hand and led her out of the living room towards her kitchen.

She stayed silent for quite a few minutes, and looked up at me like I was her whole world but also like she wanted for us to escape. But I knew that Renee wouldn't stop contacting Bella until she found out about our engagement, she wanted to know everything that was going on with us.

And I knew that she had wanted to be a part of Bella's life. I lifted my head pulling her into my arms and gently placed a loving kiss on her forehead. 

I smiled contently down at Bella giving her my dazzling charm. I had known that my smile had always taken Bella's breath away, which I knew would give Bella the strength she needed to tell her mother everything that's happened.

"I'm here Bella, just take deep breaths love."  I whispered quietly.

Bella gently squeezed my hand. I grabbed the phone from the kitchen, handing it over to her. Bella's hand shook uncontrollably, as she began to dial her Mother's new number

"Hi Phil, It's nice to speak to you again. Yeah, we're all okay down here . Please, could you put Renee on the phone? Your a lifesaver." She smiled slightly,  and quickly turned to look at me. 

"I'm here love, She'll be happy for you. Everything will turn out for the better." I reassured her. 

"Hello, Mom!  Of course not, I'm okay Mom. Yeah, they're both fine." Bella responded. "Mom we have something to tell you." Bella continued, chewing on her lower lip.
