Today was the big day, after weeks and months of preparing, finally, today is the official start of the local campaign. Mr. Bongbong arranged his schedule and returned to Ilocos Norte to support his son. Atty. Liza also helped with the event, but surprisingly wala si Simon for tonight.
We are currently now in the HQ, and they did a quick meeting. They talked about mostly the event gonna happened tonight. As for security, the head of the security team may ginawa rin kaming meeting, quick orient lang since this will be the first proclamation rally.
Bumalik kami sa office ni Sandro together with his mom and dad because they want to talk to him.
I just sit quietly and listened to them, I even excused myself earlier if they want some privacy but okay lang naman daw since they are already comfortable to me. Na-touch talaga nako nang sinabi nila yun.
"Sandro anak, I never knew ang bilis na pala ng panahon and look at you know, my first baby boy is already a grown-up man." Maluha-luha na sabi ni Atty. Liza while Mr. Bonbong giggled and comforted his wife.
"Dad, ayan na naman si Mom o emotional ulit." Sandro said then laughed.
"Hayaan mo na nak, I agree with your mom. You were just a little boy back then and now you are already grown-up making your own decision. You have no idea how proud we are to you." Sabi naman ni Mr. Bongbong.
"Thanks, Dad, Mom. I couldn't do this without you guys e so I'm thankful that you are proud of me." Sandro said then flashed a smile.
"Of course nak, your willingness to serve and sacrifice for the Ilocanos inspired me more to dedicate my life to serving the public." Dagdag pa na sabi ni Mr. Bongbong.
"Parang baliktad ata dad, you are the one who inspired me."
"You made the right decision Sandro, I know you are fully prepared to enter this journey." Sabi ni Atty. Liza.
"Yes Mom, I did think about this for years. And I am happy to finally make this decision. Hopefully mananalo ako." Sandro said.
"We will let them decide anak, besides the one with the good heart always wins." Sabi ulit ni Atty. Liza.
"Pagbutihan mo lang anak, huwag mong kalilimutan na kahit anong paninira nila sayo-"
"mangingibabaw pa rin ang kabutihan mo." Sabay nilang sabing dalawa.
Somehow those words warmed my heart. Hindi madadaig ang kabutihan kahit man madami ang kasamaan. The good heart always wins.
"Ready ka na ba mamaya?" Atty. Liza asked his sin excitedly.
"Yeah, but kinakabahan ako." Sabi naman nito.
"Normal lang yan, but I know you can do it. You are a Marcos." Sabi pa ni Mr. Bongbong. Is it me or like their surname really screams power? Marcos.
"Be confident lang nak, you'll eventually get through it in the end ha?" Sabi naman ni Atty. at tumango naman si Sandro.
Patuloy pa rin sila sa pag-uusap while nakaupo lang ako dito habang nag seselpon.
"Ang tagal naman ng batang yun." Sabi ni Mr. Bongbong.
"Tawagan mo nalang darling, baka na traffic." Sabi pa ni Atty.
Who are they referring to? may bisita atang dadating pero ba't di ko to alam? they usually tell us kung sino yung mga bisita nila.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door at lahat kami napalingon sa pintuan. Only to reveal who it is...
"Anak!" Tumayo si Atty. Liza at yumakap sa kaniyang anak, ganun din si Mr.Bongbong.
"Hey kuya, what's up congrats ha?" Sabi naman nito at yumakap rin sa kuya niya.
