~Times of Change~
As Bella woke the next morning she felt she wanted to stay in bed forever. Wrapped in sheets of crimson velvet and the scent of lavender all around, a pair of arms held her tenderly against the young man behind her. George. All night he had held her thus, ever since he had carried her from the hearth and tucked her beneath his covers.
She had not intended to stay all night but that was what had happened! She had found that once George was beside her and the air around them was silent apart from their steady breaths, she did not want to leave.
Never had she felt to safe, so loved.
Rubbing her eyes with one hand, she turned over with a groan, stretching her limbs one by one, and saw that George was already awake. Divested of his shirt, she trailed a hand along the smooth skin and firm muscle of his chest and he smiled, bending his head to kiss her.
It was so natural, so right.
She smiled into the gentle press of his lips, letting herself and him bathe in the golden rays of sunlight that flooded through his chamber windows.
"What time is is, my love?" She asked and George shrugged, taking to playing with a lock of her golden hair. He did not care for the time, he did not care if it was day or the dead of night, all he cared about was her."George?" She pressed, giving him a small nudge and he sighed.
"Just past dawn, sweetheart" he admitted, trailing a finger gently across her jaw, over her soft lips which he longed to kiss again "the court shall be awake soon"
Before he could indulge in his wish, she had moved from his embrace and was reaching for the bed robe he had placed at the end of the bed."You have folded this rather neatly" she remarked, shaking out the lilac silk "I must say I'm surprised!" A light chuckle was the reply she got while George settled back against his pillows.
"I'm not simply a pretty face, sweetheart!""Which you more than proved last night" She said with a smirk, pulling on her robe and tying the laces with deft fingers. George laughed again.
"You are getting bolder!" He murmured thoughtfully, twisting a lock of hair around his finger "I have to say I like you bold" Bella arched an eyebrow, waiting just a moment before she moved back onto the bed, crawling up to George with a seductive look in her eyes. He was more than willing to wait for once, watching as she moved towards him, pressing her body against his.
"And I like you silent, Plantagenet" she whispered before crushing her lips to his and beginning to smile when his hands grasped her waist "Now" she murmured, pulling away and trailing a finger along George's jaw like he loved to do to her "let me go, my Prince or you will have a little redhead knocking on your door demanding to know every detail of our lives"
