Chapter 13:

Chapter 13: Challenge

 

Mike and the others were sitting in the office.

 

"Alright, we'll sneak down to the bunker at twelve thirty." Mike explained to the others. "We'll hang around there until three, when we meet Kiseki in the lab."

 

"I have two questions." Jeremy said.

 

"Ask away." Mike replied.

 

"First, where is this 'bunker', again, and who is Kiseki?" The oldest man asked.

 

"I'll answer the first one." Orion said. "The bunker is an old World War Two base that this place built on top of. The entrance is in the Pirate's Cove area."

 

"Woah." Mike said. "Didn't know that was an old war base."

 

"I'm pretty sure it was." Orion said.

 

"How do we get down there without perturbing Foxy? Honestly, my memory must be on the fritz to a horrible extent today." Jeremy rubbed his temples.

 

"How do you know about him?" Mindy had no recollection of telling Jeremy about the fox animatronic she so dearly loved as a child.

 

"When I worked at the old restaurant, the old animatronics were kept in the back room. Foxy was the most aggressive of all of them." Jeremy replied.

 

"Good to know." Mike suddenly felt very unsafe.

 

"We'll sneak around the back of the Cove and make our way down from there." Mindy kicked back in the office chair. "In the meantime, though, we should probably just loaf around. Orion, uh, show Jeremy how we were taught to hang from the door frame as kids!"

 

Orion groaned. "Why can't you do it?"

 

"Because I'm wearing a skirt." Mindy replied smugly.

 

"Fine." Orion huffed and walked over to the door frame. "Hup!" In a single, smooth motion, he had jumped up, flipped, and was now hanging from the door frame by his feet.

 

"That's so cool!" Mike gasped in awe.

 

"This would be easier if I had smaller feet." Orion mumbled. Mindy giggled.

 

"Alright, let me try. My skirt has shorts underneath it, anyway." Mindy said. Orion let himself fall from the frame and caught himself with his hands. Mindy took his place and swung herself from the door frame into the air and hooked her feet on the opening of a hole in the ceiling.

 

"That's awesome!" Jeremy remarked. Mangle purred with approval.

 

"Can't be up there very long, though, my weight will bring the whole place down." Mindy joked and fell from the ceiling, landing on her hands like her brother did.
