Sometimes I catch a glimpse
of a daydream I used to have about you;
it was fleeting, just as you were.
I forced those dreams into memories
to make my version of you real.
I always try to claw my way
back into those fantasies
for one more little piece of you.
But like a forgotten dream,
you too are fading away into nothing.
