I've pulled on the strings of time
And begged it not to move;
Pleaded for a chance to breathe
And hold onto this moment so
I can freeze it, trace every line of it
And memorize everything
Exactly as it is.
But I am not strong enough
To hold up time for my own pleasures
And just like that
My moment is a memory
Before it's even over.
